Looks like the same old merry go round we see every year. It's hard to keep those type of players around at your club for more than 1 year.

Few big names have left and a few big more still to come

Mansell, Mciver- border districts
Woodward, Williamson, Railey- central United
Webber, Stewart- back to Smithfield
Winter- not playing
Knapp, Diedrichsen- Padthaway
Freeman- Elizabeth

Few have already signed at them clubs but expecting the rest to be done within the next week or so.. news out of the camp isn’t good!

I thought Knappy re-signed amidst the North Haven whispers.

Aren't there blokes that played at Smithfield one year. Then leave and play for Eastern Park the next year. Then return to Smithfield the year after that and so on??

Webber hasn't played a game for Eastern Park, Matty Stewart used to captain Smithfield, went up the hill, returned for one year then Eastern Park for one year now back at Smithfield.

Played all his juniors at Smithfield.

Lol none of them lads are leaving, that post was one of my work colleagues being a wanker while we were at lunch together I thought he was just scrolling through.. the club is in a healthy position, only a couple of them have left but everyone already knew about that!! The rest are staying 100% besides Mansell mciver Woodward and stewart

I reckon Mitcham will surprise a few people this year. The gap between div 3 and 4 has historically been a big one and while it has narrowed in recent years I still think there remains a pretty big gulf. Time will tel obviously but i'd be surprised if they can't make a deep finals run.

Looking back over previous years the two teams demoted from Division 3 have played finals consistently. Mitcham are definitely good enough to do that, SMOSH may struggle a bit more but still be in the hunt for finals.
