Great to see Heath Shaw helping out with what appears to be an assistant coaching role. if the product is to grow, what better place to start than with current men's players helping out with skills and tactics.
Courtney Gum and Phoebe McWilliams the difference for the Giants in their win. Gum instrumental with a number of pivotal intercept possessions and 2 goals in the last quarter, and McWilliams took one of the best pack marks I have seen in the women's comp, and converted the set shot to seal the win.
Some real good movement of the footy in the last quarter too. No doubt fatigue had set in which allowed the game to open up, but some chains involving 3 or 4 possession retention gives hope that the spectacle can be appealing as the girls get more experience.

Watched Crows/Bulldogs game, again the intent was awesome, Im surprised that there isn't some girls who can grab the ball in space and out run their opponents with speed, although bouncing the ball my be problematic.

I heard Daisy Pearce's thoughts about this and Jeff Kennett's thoughts - she basically said piss off, they grew up wanting to play footy - real footy, the way it has been played for years. I agree with her on that aspect
If that means they get injured more then so be it, they knew the risks.
The quality is definitely an issue though, but tinkering with the game isnt the answer - being careful about the expansion is.

You are watching the most over rated footballer to have ever played the game

2 possessions so far... not a good game at all.
