are there any nice cafe's or places for a quiet coffee and dessert out North? (Mawson Lakes to Gawler)

We've been to Café Sia at Evanston which is an option,
Acqua at Elizabeth is not on the radar,
Cholcolate Tree at Mawson Lakes is ok too but I want to go somewhere different...

I want to take Wifey out on Friday night for our 10th anniversary without any kids so I have a 2.5 hour window to do something in between feeds for littlest miss goodness while my mum looks after them all.

Acqua at Elizabeth is not on the radar,
Cholcolate Tree at Mawson Lakes is ok too but I want to go somewhere different...

I want to take Wifey out on Friday night for our 10th anniversary without any kids so I have a 2.5 hour window to do something in between feeds for littlest miss goodness while my mum looks after them all.

Pop down to Semaphore or the Port mate, down the express way and you're there in no time. Going to be a nice day on Friday so by late afternoon it will be beaut down there.

Cafe Froot or Swedish Tarts on Semaphore Road are both good spots, or if you could go a nice quiet wine bar for a glass each try Korked in the Port.

As someone who lives in Mawson Lakes, I spend more time eating and dining at the Port and Semaphore. It's pretty barren.

Booney's suggestions are spot on. Korked is a fun down-to-earth place for a wine, but if you're up for something more lah-di-dah in the fancy wine department I can highly recommend Michonne, just slightly east of Black Diamond corner (http://www.michonne.com.au/).

Boat deck cafe is nice @ Mawsons, or grab a yiros from Nik's and sit across the road overlooking the lake.

Very true. Went there just before opening time (8am) on a Saturday morning a while back in an attempt to beat the crowd an there was about 15 people already there! Proof it's a top place, food's pretty good too.

Yeah food is good but nothing other than what I would expect for a place like that, if that makes sense. But the coffee is another level imo.

I used to hit the Java Hut every day for lunch in 2009. Really miss working down the road from that place.

We don't drink so coffee and cake/dessert is my thinking.
