A bit of Irony, we bought into a syndicate for a race horse and it was named on Saturday, they called it "Left Hand Man", I was pretty stoked to hear despite it having f*** all to do with me.

Me too! I cop flack all the time for my writing being so neat and "thanks Miss" comes from the boss and staff regularly when I write something for them.

My great-aunt used to, before she passed, and now my Mum have been paid to write wedding invitations out in their old cursive font.

It's one thing I'm glad I inherited.

This, i don't think they even teach kids how to write anymore, do they? I know they don't teach cursive

I remember my prep teacher making me write o's over and over again until I got it right because they used to cross over at the top.

My o's are still perfect to this day.

Year 7 teacher said to me once that I should be a doctor with my handwriting.......went into construction instead [emoji38]

i dont think we really need to bother teaching handwriting these days. it is still important to write manually, studies have shown you take in information better if you write it down rather than type, but how often do you write something that someone else will read?

(Personally as an engineer i have a notebook which has my own chicken scratch but anything sent to someone else will be typed up)

My hand writing is atrocious, even I cant read it. If I was left handed and smudged it then it would probably be eadier to read. I should be a doctor.
I can type at 60wpm though.

I don't know about cursive, but I know they get taught writing skills.

My sons about to get his pen license.

Funnily enough, I was away the day everyone else got it in my class in 1996, so I've been writing without a license for 22 years.

I told this to my son. He didn't get it. Then I told him this story.

"I got done for Writing Under the Influence once. Three people died."

He didn't get it. Mrs HH3 didn't find it funny.And I lost my shit laughing in the middle of Woodville Bunnings.
