So what's the big deal with BL not clearing him to play at Kilburn? If he doesn't owe and $$ and hasn't accepted any $$ he should be able to leave and play for another club. Whether he signs or agrees to a contract or not. Remember we are playing in an amateur league not professional.

A contract is a contract, amateur or professional. Clubs have every right to uphold the contract. Like yep I signed it but s...t there’s no one left at the club now so can I go. Brooksy is a good lad and a great player but he is in Brahmas hands, like it or not.

That ones similar but a bit more complicated. Hopefully a few will kiss and make up. It’s not player related. ;)

Ouch.

On the Brooks thing, I've got no doubt he'll end up a Kilburn player, both clubs will find some common ground around a $$ settlement and the clearance will go through.

He'd easily nab 100 goals at this level.

Towns and EP have apparently swapped fixture positions.

Rd 1 now:
Gepps v Mitcham
Kilburn v Pooraka
Glenunga v Towns
EP v Salisbury
CLG v SMOSH

He could.. but he'll need guys getting him the ball - and from what i'm hearing, Pooraka are struggling for depth this year and have lost a large chunk from their A/B grades last year.

I'd expect it to be a Brooks --> Kilburn type situation with his clearance from Moonta as well.

Mitcham - Coming down from div 3, have to start faves.

Kilburn - seemed to have added a couple, Pooraka may struggle a bit.

Glenunga - Will be close, think Glenunga may have a bit too much class.

EP - Another close one. Think the home ground factor may just get EP over the line.

SMOSH - Same as mitcham, have to start faves after coming down from div 3.

1 Kilburn, lost some serious run but have picked up quality, should have made the GF in 2017
2 Eastern Park, best team in this Div 2017 apart from Nth Haven altercations killed them
3 Gepps Cross, again added to their finals list and don’t concede many at home
4 Towns, have topped up nicely with youth and run, will be big improvers
5 Mitcham, always good at this level have a couple to come in they are quiet about
6 Smosh, lost some good players but they will be hard to beat on the Dunes
7 Pooraka, take them lightly at your own peril
8 CLG, have picked up well with 2nd year coach Brett Leonard gunna shake teams
9 Glenunga, will be very good but it’s a big step up, regardless of what is written
10 Salisbury, tough to beat at home but lack some quality

There could be 5 games from top to bottom and this is one tough division this year.

Just my view so shoot me down if you wish.

If no one else is going to I will, reckon you are way off.

Mitcham to be much stronger than people are giving them credit for and Glenunga at 9 seems like taking them lightly at your peril.
But definitely agree that this will be an incredibly tough division, whoever gets relegated will be very stiff.

How are Towns looking with JC at the helm?, would be the best game day coach in the Div I would think, have recruited a few B graders from the SFL I hear.

More an overview than ladder positions. I honestly don’t think there is a stand out team like Nth Haven was last year. Won’t be much from 1 to 10. Luck on the day and injuries and depth could be the difference in the end.
