Before the rumour mill gets out of hand I’ll have my say, there was an incedent I was out of line I shouldn’t have been there. Committee was going to vote to to keep me or get rid of me, it started to divide players and committee members so I stood down to minimise the fall out to the lads n club. Too much hard work has gone into the club and recruiting for it to fall apart this close to the start of the season. I take full responsibility of the issue and bottom line is it should never of happened. Moving forward I hope to coach again in the future but for now I’ll have a kick n a catch n make sure I don’t allow myself to be put in a position like that again.

The Owls have a trial match against Blackfriars this weekend at Thebarton. Who takes charge there?

Just to elaborate more on my post today there was 100% no king hit from behind in this incident!
Police were involved and statements were taken. If it was a cheap king hit I would of been arrested and spent the night in a cell with a court date! None of that happened.

Angle Vale wanted to enter our comp to “have what we have” with country football’s family event atmosphere opposed to SAAFL. They will never achieve this without netball, and unfortunately are currently diminishing the experience for those 7 clubs who do.

Nothing against AV for wanting in, why wouldn’t you, but unfortunately these issues which where foreseen before AV were allowed in (netball, junior numbers etc etc) were dismissed at the time. No good complaining now, those 4 clubs that voted them in have to put up with it, as do the clubs who weren’t up for it on the first place.

If we wont kick them out for not having netball i think maybe we could apply a financial penalty to give them 'incentive' to try harder. It is hurting us all financially having to play them at our home grounds, would hate to play them at home twice.

An idea of mine would be for clubs to average their gate takings, canteen and bar from their 7 'normal' home games, and quite simply angle vale pay the difference. If this means as an example clubs are losing $3,000 a week playing home against AV compared to an 'average' game then AV need to pay the league $24,000 which then gets distrubuted evenly to the other clubs.

If they can fill 3 of the 9 netball grades then they can get a 33.33% discount on the above fine until all 9 sides are full.
