They have played right into our hands. When was the last time Australia lost on a slow, lifeless wicket? (im not talking slow turners) We really do excel at that type of game, our bowlers squeeze the life out of the opposition and our batsman, well Steve Smith is happy to grind away for days.
Reckon SA have to take a punt and prepare wickets with plenty of life in them. They cant beat us on these decks, it is what Australian decks have become.

Spot on Daisy. SA played right into australias hand here as there bowling is almost suited to these pitches. It is truly a special bowling line up. The best way to beat australia is greener tracks where the aussies struggle batting wise because you cant outbowl them on these surfaces. SA went in way to negative as always and they will get demolished all series if they keep producing slow wickets.

Australia wanted stump mics turned down for this series, a request that was denied.

Apparently when they took to the field they kept talking about rival sponsors of the series and broadcasters were forced to turn mics down.

Couldn't sleep so got up and watched another 30 min at midnight. Gee AB has so much time when he plays the game. He's a gun!

Went to bed at the end of the 27th over with South Africa 3/92, two balls later...

Been absolutely top shelf cricket these last two days

I think it helps to have background audio - especially for the cricket on radio

As for the banter between balls? Not needed

Test Cricket is as much a mind battle as ability. If South African men are made to feel any less than the top dog they do not handle it very well, it’s in their culture the need to feel superior. It’s funny that as soon as you stand up to them that they have always pissed their pants. Where as the Australian culture takes the piss out of anyone who thinks they are bigger and better than they are. This is the reason why they won’t turn the mics down as they think Australia will curb their behaviour.

Feel free to prepare decks with Juice in them boys, have fun facing our quicks on a seamer. I’ll be interested to see what happens tonight. Saffers could capitulate here.

Smith gets the benefit of DRS compared to the one he got at Perth in late 2016.

Remember Supersports, DRS is there to get rid of the stinkers, not the line ball ones.

I’m glad I’m not the only one there. If hotspot existed in South Africa I strongly suspect it would show an edge.
