That's the premium service. Those who don't want to pay top dollar will have to learn flag semaphore.

I heard a rumour that the SANFL will provide score updates by semaphore, but only for Port games.

11 of the 18 games shown on 7 will feature Adelaide, Port or both.

South, North and Glenelg only appear in 2 games each.

Seems unfair to the said clubs, and difficult to fathom (given a sinking league ship).
IMHO the SANFL should promote all the clubs evenly.
I guess the SANFL know best.

I brought this up at our AGM a couple of years back regarding the 2 AFL clubs reaping the television benefits
The 1 million the TRUE SANFL clubs pay a year for that shit is an absolute waste of money :x

1 million to promote the AFL teams and reduce attendance. Better to put $125k /year back into club coffers.

So South, North and Glenelg are essentially paying $62,500 per game to be on t.v when previously they would generally get more games at zero cost.

Thrown in the 10k a home game less clubs generally get now and there is no way all these clubs can survive in the next 5-10 years

Would depend on a lot of variables.

Would it be done via ISDN line or wireless?

What costs the station(s) needs to recoup in terms of electricity, someone at the studio, equipment maintenance.

Hard to put a figure on it, one would have thought.

I know of an A3 ammos club that did a utube TV coverage of all their home games last year (with live commentary)!
That is what I call meaningful promotion of their club and their A3 competition.
To me they are ahead of most SANFL clubs.
Makes you think!

Speaking of cricket(s). You can watch all Sheffield Shield matches free on the Cricket.au website. Not sure who pays for that, maybe the SACA. The promotion of SANFL leaves a lot to be desired by all. The soccer people do a stream weekly of heir MOTD on youtube.
