Could be a Pooraka v Walkerville semi in A1 if PAOC don't chase down 281 against Hope Valley.

Relegation:
A1 - Reynella and ROC's
A2 - Pembroke and Hectorville (Brighton to just survive)
A3 - Reynella and Pulteney

Player of the year:
A1 - Travis Wordsworth, Mark Hanson
A2 - Cameron Behrendt, David Scholz
A3 - Luke Partridge, Jarryd Furnell

travis will win in a canterthe bloke has hit 400 runs and 40 odd wickets

Behrendt will win easily in A2. Shed load of runs since mid Dec and consistent wickets.

how does this bloke go from batting 8 at the start of the season to making 500 batting #3

Figured out his game. Works the ball very well through the leg side to anything too straight. Maybe needs the ball coming on to take full advantage of his leg side play.

All grades nice and close up top! Congrats
To all teams moving up. What’s the finals predictions and thoughts on the season itself.

Para hills vs walkerville / para hills I think too strong
Pooraka vs PAOC / pooraka won’t lose

Ingle farm vs woodys / ingle farm made 290 against them but batting might hinder this one.. calling an upset and woodys winning
Scotch vs unley/ scotch my choice all year

Trinity vs gepps cross /trinity
Iggies vs grove / grove to bowl first and win

Interested to hear everyone's thoughts on what the Team of the Year will look like. Here is my attempt...

1. R. Illuminato (Pooraka)
2. K. English (PAOC)
3. J. Bailey (Pooraka)
4. M. Hanson (Pooraka)
5. * T. Wordsworth (Para Hills)
6. A. Westphal (Walkerville)
7. + T. Parton (Para Hills)
8. B. Knowles (Walkerville)
9. J. Dent (PAOC)
10. S. Harvey (Port Districts)
11. T. Roling (Para Hills)

Medal - M. Hanson and T.Wordsworth (TIE)

That would have to be close. I assume the keeper will default to whoever wins the keeper of the year award. Also, I'm certain they name 12 players in the ATCA Team of the Year and don't they usually slot the A2 Cricketer of the Year into the team?

I'm not sure how they usually select it. I guess the 12th spot would be for the A2 cricketer of the year.

I would be surprised if Tom Parton didn't win the keeper of the year award, been outstanding all year. In the squad I named above there are 3 keepers in there. Not sure how much keeping K. English has done though.

Mine was very similar, just the one change being the keeper spot. As you have mentioned, Bailey or English have also kept for their clubs this year.

I'd bring in Aidan Wilkins (Hope Valley) - 469 runs at 42.64 & 18 wickets at under 20 with Parton out.

That said, whoever wins keeper of the year normally gets the automatic selection.

No real standout in A2 this year, so you might see someone like Jamie Barnes in as 12th if they stick to all A1 players.

Yeah that is a fair call. Aidan WIlkins has had a great year, especially the first half of the season.

Does the ATCA Rep games have any influence on the Team of the Year? Tom Parton hit 70 odd against ASCA, so that could go work in his favour also.

Only need to lose enough time that 1 over is lost and you can bat for a draw though.

Semi Finals :-

A1
Para Hills v Walkerville - I think it will come down to which spinner bowls best Carey (Para Hills) v Knowles (Walkerville). If the Walkerville bats can fire they might cause an upset. Para Hills record in finals isn't great but was the best thing they did putting Wordsworth in charge, could be their year?

Pooraka v PAOC - can't see PAOC winning this one, Brinsley making a late appearance for PAOC but Pooraka easily.

A2
Ingle Farm v Woodville Rech - best semi in ATCA this weekend IMO. Ingle Farm bowling (Sandery/Sandercock) will bowl 25 over each up against Woody Rech batting of Behrenht, Rosenthal, Duffett, Holton and co. Who bats first is the key, Ingle Farm batting is a worry although they bat deep will need a big score from someone. Woody Rech in an upset.

Old Scotch v Unley
Old Scotch are hard to beat at the highway that is Scotch No.2 ground which suits its batsmen of Scholz, Scott and Marslen. Unley's bowling is their weakness and they could be chasing a massive score. Old Scotch thru to the GF.

Home sides not required to put them on until dusk tonight.

Given the home side goes through in a washout, you'd suspect most have waited.

Won't be able to put them on tonight if the pitches get wet this afternoon, so likely to see most grounds without covers I'd think.

Not enough rain for wash outs given the forecast but enough to make the toss critical.
Many a final decided on a coin toss unfortunately.
Hence as a home team I would of thought in best interest to have covers on.
As you have mentioned though too late now if not already on..

I bet Pooraka would have them on !

Unley only conceded over 200 twice this year, V Pembroke and Flinders Park, have a good balance with wickets spread. Scotch rely on the opening bowlers
