I "rated" (well enjoyed) playing various sports when younger but have never been much into watching them.

I'll watch the Crows match tonight, and might have otherwise considered the Cricket if there was nothing more interesting on. The rest bore me. I enjoyed playing both Soccer and Hockey in my youth, Fencing at Uni, and had Equestrian training for a while in my 40s, but can't motivate myself to watch other people doing any of them...

I also played a little Tennis, took Judo lessons, and dabbled in Archery, as a child and was given free Golf lessons for a while by the Pro at Kooyonga when I was about 13 (Jim Mills I think), but again watching them...

If I had to guess two sports that psyber played it would be fencing and equestrian.

And polo in there by any chance?

I rate warching the footy on the tv while watching the cricket on my tablet.

Also the new retro West End classic edition white cans, a great novelty. Reminds me of my dad.

My kids both having their first runs of the footy season today.

Daughter debuted for La Trobe University open women’s team. Trial game against some mob. La Trobe had a comfortable win and the coach gave all the girls an opportunity. Miss C started on the pine, cane on half way through the first quarter on a back flank. Played there til half time before moving up forward. Not too many possessions but involved in a goal assist I think. Rain set in during the last half.

Son who is usually a late starter due to cricket, actually got out to 4 or 5 pre season sessions this year and lined up in a trial today against Nairne. Sounds like he kicked 3 goals and played Full Foward/Centre Half Forward, with a short run on the wing. Told me via text he was knackered after 5 minutes out in the open space. Lazy little bugger! Echunga B’s got up too.

No, but I was tempted by Polocrosse, and may have given it a go had I not realised (when I was considering whether to buy a horse of my own which would have been necessary to improve my skills further) that horses, like boats, are bottomless pits into which you pour money. ;)

So I moved on and bought a motor bike - a 4-stroke that I could just park in the shed when I wasn't using it.

What grade, my son is in S/C. Maybe see you in the season if you make it to the Onkas game. I'll be doing the b grade boundary ump.

My lad plays in the magoo’s. Not sure what game/s I will get back to SA for.

I think you should put your feet up at home saturday night in preparation for the grand prix mate. At your age you need to start slowinhg down a bit

You will be pleased to know I took your advice and stayed home. This was evident in the result.
