C'mon mate you don't seem the naive type to me.
Of course they were involved, unfortunately!

I don't see 5 or 6 players having a secret conversation away from the other 5 or 6 players in the same dressing room.

What I do envisage is Smith and Warner having a conversation that Bancroft was in earshot of and became complicit in.

Take your chance however you get it. On face value Bancroft will miss at least the next Test, but i'm not so sure anyone else will. We will have a change of Captain though.

I'm not saying don't play but any potential excitement at making your debut is completely eradicated by the scandal. The damage these blokes have done to the game is potentially catastrophic.

I don't believe Smith and what he said at the press conference.
This was discusssed at length with the team(or at least the bowlers) IMO prior to this game.

It's hard too believe anything Smith says now..............

Interesting watching FoxSports News with Simon Doull mentioning the Poms and South Africans using their zips to rough up the ball. Everyone does it, we have been stupid enough to get caught, and we deserve every bit of punishment coming.

Yes has been going on for decades but somehow this seems a hell of a lot different, not sure if it is because it is Australia involved or not, this seems alot worse

Didnt take the Barmy Army Long

Steve Smith is an Aussie
He wears a baggy cap
And when he saw some sticky tape
He said I'm having that...
He gave it Cameron Bancroft
Who rubbed it on the ball
Those cheating Aussie convicts
They'll never change at all!

I bet the ICC are looking closer at footage now from the first test.

I can't believe they thought they'd get away with it.

Innovative, not hard to cahnge a few words...

“Mark Waugh is an Aussie
“He wears a baggy cap
“And when he saw the bookie’s cash
“He said ‘Im having that’
“He shared it out with Warnie
“They went and had some beers
“And when the ACB found out
“The covered it up for years.”
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Just don't get it.
At the end of the day, after all the hullabaloo doesn't the team manager, media liaison or even coach have a pow wow about the media post match conference ? Surely the smart thing to do would be to send out Smith & Lehman, tell the press they'll wait for the decision from the match referee, ICC, Cricket Australia or whoever before they comment ? Smith & Bancroft came out as two 8yo school boys busted taking a piss behind the bike shed.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

Agree.
Whether Lehman was involved or not he should of fronted the media as well.

Why the delay in the media conference?
Collaborating stories perhaps?

The fact that we're having terms used about us (correctly) that we previously reserved for the South Africans gives one a fair idea how low we've sunk.

I’ve dealt with my share of South Africans over the years in business and generally they are arrogant pigs... boots on the other foot now.

Just tried to watch the pre game show but couldn't do it!!

Happy to take our wack for what we did but listening to South African commentators dig the knife in is hard. There captain has been twice for tampering and they were the country who produced Hansie Cronje

Think I might watch the Aussie rules instead
