Yes best one to keep. May have won a Magarey had he not played last minor round game for Crows. One of the best players to ever play for Centrals.

I'm never happy seeing our players playing at another S.A.N.F.L. club (see what I did there).

Centrals seem to have a very poor record of players drafted by the two SA teams returning from the Offal (AFL) (see what I did there).
e.g.
Alan Obst NA
Tim Cook NA
Eddie Hocking WA
Shane Tongerie SA
Marty McKinnon Nwd
Anthony Ingerson Traded to Melbourne
Jack Osborn St
Josh Coulter NA
Troy Menzel BL & G
Sam Colquhoun St
Mark Conway St
Jonathan Giles St
Jarrod Cotton Nwd
Numerous players drafted interstate never returned.

Not having a dig at the area, but I'd be surprised many would still be living in the outer suburbs after coming back. As with South, the travel required to get to Elizabeth (and Noarlunga) and back multiple times a week wouldn't be that attractive.

I'm unsure what the point of that list was, but it is interesting.

It's worth noting that Obst came back to us before going to North, as did McKinnon (who eventually went to Norwood to play with his cousin).
Cook, Tongerie and Hocking were all at the end of their careers and their moves didn't harm us, same as Cotton (who IIRC started his juniors at North, so didn't really grow up out North).

Be interesting to see what that list is like for other clubs.

Paul thomas, nutta (would have stayed longer were it not for the crows reserves). Ryan williams, nathan steinberner, moss.

Thommo - returned from Essendon to play a big role for us.
Nutta - definitely would have stayed with us longer, but certainly don't begrudge his chance and didn't 'start' with us.
Williams - recruited from IS by Port, remained with us after he was delisted and then returned to the Geelong area, where he came from.
Steinberner - we got plenty out of. Champ.
Moss - was cooked.

How can he or they get away with it

Glenn at his best is in the top 10 players of the SANFL in my opinion.
He'd be wanting big dollars to play,I'm surprised he hasn't left Norwood already after being named in the 2s.

It appears surprising that come April Norwood would have enough room left in their salary cap after a fruitful recruiting campaign to accommodate a player of that quality who they would not have planned on getting.
