We are working on the mindfulness side of sport, as well...it was a camp that was pretty important to everyone.

"I can speak about what I got out of it personally, absolutely. I absolutely one hundred percent came back from that camp feeling like a better husband, a better son and a much better teammate than when I was before I left on that camp.

I know Gen Y are a different kettle of fish, and I feel sorry for the Gen Zers who had to go but wouldn't a football camp that made you better at football be more appropriate?

If it takes being in a blind fold for 24 hours to make you a better husband and son so be it but I'd be asking some serious questions of my mental capacity if that was the case.

Football camps are no longer about the real tangible football skills/fitness anymore

They can run a 'boot camp' push players to their physical limit any day of the week, they can kick 100000 balls, 1000000 handballs any day of the week.

The football camps are now an opportunity to take these guys away from their comfort zone, observe they how react, observe how they 'mesh' as a team, a chance to analysis the personality types, learn how each individual will need to be coached
