Anyway lets sit back and hope the aussies can put in a decent performance in this test. Good luck to Chad Sayers, well overdue for this selection

Great, looks like another road, best case scenario might get a draw out of it

Me too
unfortunately looks like theyve picked him 6-12 months too late, Hasnt has great shield form. Its almost as though theyve picked him to fail so they can move on from him. Very tough Test to debut in.
So far he hasnt looked dangerous at all. Will have to compare him to Philander tyhis Test to get an idea of how he has gone

Beat the bat a few times. Looked ok, bit hard to build pressure in your first test when the team morale is ****** and Hazelwood starts of by bowling pies.

Into the game with a nice catch to get rid of Elgar.

Mong Darsh looks like he's struggling to even get to the bowling crease. Groin must be knackered.

Silly? Apart from Mennie getting a gig before Sayers when have the selectors picked someone not as good as him? He's behind the big 3 we've currently got & equal with Bird.

I hope he goes well but he's not making anyone look silly if he does.

When they picked that shit truck Hastings for starters.

I still maintain that when you compare his average with Bird's (and the fact he plays half his games at Adelaide Oval rather than Bellrive), Sayers comes out on top. Good luck Chadd

Also said he's probably feeling nervous and sticking to what he (Sayers) knows what has worked for him.

However his point about variety and mixing it up, smartly, is appropriate at Test level.

Holding has been harsher IMO.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Superb hundred to Markram.

Captained SA to their under 19 world cup win 4 years ago, 4 test centuries to his name already.

Both Warne and Holding are right about Chadd though unfortunately, Bit harder getting international wickets compared to some of the duds in state cricket.
As i said earlier he has been given his chance 12months too late, out of form since last couple shield games before xmas.
125km doesnt cut it at this level. Philander has a few extra kms and that makes all the difference. Wouldnt be surprised if he goes wicketless. Markram gets a double, AB a big century and the carnts declare at 4/600
