As for Hawkins, he is the modern day Rene Kink...

babow. Hawkins has played a key role in two Grand Final wins and has kicked the winning goal against the Hawks from outside 50 after the siren.

What a rivalry this is. They just don't produce bad games.

The best I have seen in my lifetime.

I can't believe how much I enjoyed a loss. Such a good game to watch and Hawthorn probably deserved to win by about 4 or 5 goals. They lost Burgoyne early too which was a big loss.

Can't ague with that. Picking a ruckman might be a good idea next week.

Tom Stewart looked good again (from what I saw) .. Cats need one or both of Henderson/Taylor there

Great game of footy, thought the Hawks good for the W

Lol - we really do get under your skin, don’t we?
Didn’t watch the second half on Good Friday, mate? Going to take the game off North based on a bad half of footy? (Essendon & Collingwood would’ve lost ANZAC Day years ago going on your logic).
Just to jog your memory, last year’s Good Friday game was a thriller decided by less than a goal in front of 43k.
We all know North are never going to draw “record crowds” but some of you blokes do continually make me laugh with your misguided posts. Not just you, Benny, but other clubs’ supporters who have very short memories...

Just because one team dominated the second half doesnt make it a good game of footy

Im against Fixed timeslots for games in general. I would rather they fixture the "blockbuster" standalone slots based on recent form. For instance Sydney and Port deserved much more than a sunday twilight slot.

North deserve the game thanks to the good work they do with the Children’s hospital and the appeal. Should be North v Carlton though

Keep on dreaming Benny, won’t happen in my lifetime. Nothing stopping the AFL scheduling other games on ANZAC Day, they just can’t use the MCG

North & Carlton along with the Children’s Hospital have constantly lobbied for Good Friday footy for over 30 years.

i know its just what it is, but it pisses me off that melbourne teams seem to need a "blockbuster" to actually turn up. if that carlton and essendon game was on a sunday twilight they wouldnt get more than say 60k.

cant argue with this, certainly deserve to be recognised for their efforts in this area - but why should this mean they get to "own" a timeslot forever?
