Fair go. He may just be playing for the honour of putting on that red and blue.

It's worth noting that Obst came back to us before going to North, as did McKinnon (who eventually went to Norwood to play with his cousin).
Cook, Tongerie and Hocking were all at the end of their careers and their moves didn't harm us, same as Cotton (who IIRC started his juniors at North, so didn't really grow up out North).

Be interesting to see what that list is like for other clubs.

Paul thomas, nutta (would have stayed longer were it not for the crows reserves). Ryan williams, nathan steinberner, moss.

Thommo - returned from Essendon to play a big role for us.
Nutta - definitely would have stayed with us longer, but certainly don't begrudge his chance and didn't 'start' with us.
Williams - recruited from IS by Port, remained with us after he was delisted and then returned to the Geelong area, where he came from.
Steinberner - we got plenty out of. Champ.
Moss - was cooked.

Sorry, that's what I was getting at. A number also came back and were excellent.

Gotcha.

Given he came to us, maybe he's on match payments only? Maybe has a back ended deal? Given our history and the target on our head, I'd like to think the club couldn't be stupid enough to mess up again [-o<

When a person I work with that is involved with Norwood says to me "I know we cheat the salary cap because I'm in the meetings", that would suggest that your club is stupid enough to mess up again.

He’s on $50 a game. His other $2,950 a week is split between cutting Maria’s toenails once a week and his part time job as a security guard at Circular Quay. Allegedly  ;)

I hardly think they've done their due diligence. Maybe they should have asked 3 extremely well respected ex-captains of Centrals who have all described him as the worst person they have ever met in their life.

I wonder if sponsors are paying his rent. I hear that's how they get around the salary cap.

They have immunity, for the roll over. Previous bans lifted. Worth it, they won a couple of premierships. Probably working for honest Joe on a certain "influential" builders sites.

Honest Joe & his mob cheated a couple of seasons ago and rolled over
to The SANFL to allow the Crows into the SANFL.
The SANFL wont check their best buddies this time either to see if they are over again.
If they were they should cop the same penalty as Melbourne Storm did play out the season
with no points awarded because they are a serial offender.
As from 2019 no point in having a salary cap .
