Hard to go past Sturt at home, although will be interested to see how close North get and how much of last week was an aberration.

Normally I’d say those odds are too short for North but after last week’s effort surely they must be worth a punt however small.

Congrats to EvanS & Crocker (sounds like an American TV Cop show) on their 100th games.

Sturt don’t look like they’ve lost anything from last year. Hard to tell if North have improved after one game as they looked pretty ordinary against Centrals in Round 1.

I’ll go with my heart instead of my head and tip North by 10-15 points.

I reckon the Sturt 2017 version has to be slightly stronger. Kory Beard has left a massive hole and no permanent replacement has been found. Patty Wilson and Scott McMahon have also left gaps. Sutcliffe can't get over his knee issue and with Sumner boxing on it's left some gaps currently being filled by fringe league players of last season plus McAdam who is a very good pick up. Good that they have some opportunities, but they don't appear to have the same quality. On the plus side plenty of improvement left in players like Read and Slimming and a few others but overall not as powerful.
North have some talent that has to get going sooner or later. Could be a very interesting game but Sturt just.

Fair point. I didn’t get much opportunity to see Sturt last year but the new digital pass is terrific though. McAdam looks a quality player, I was impressed with him. And you have Munn, if only maybe for this year.

And who else in the league do you think has really improved enough or recruited enough to challenge you, other than maybe Woodville.

Norwood personnel wise are very strong. The Eagles to me look to have it all and could take it out but I've thought that before. Godden to his credit has built resilience into the group despite some past disappointments.
Sturt would see themselves no doubt in the mix but need a fit Sutcliffe.
