Port -11.5 is getting my money this week. They're playing the one team with a worse ruck set up than them.

You do realise the Richmond and Melbourne have fans don't you, they may even be young kids, they may want to watch the game and go to the dawn service but can't do both because of the lateness of the game...

He doesn't have children old enough to understand where we're coming from, and if it doesn't affect him then he doesn't care, everyone is stupid.

You alright mate? Seem very cranky.

I’m not saying it’s not an issue for you, I’m just saying that the afl shouldn’t have to cater for young kids every single game of the year. If you are really worried about it just record it and watch it later.

If going to the dawn service is important to you then you can make a choice.

Same goes for Thursday night games. They aren’t kid friendly either but they are great for other reasons.

I think it stinks and is a lack of respect.

Not sure how it lacks respect to play a game of footy the night before Anzac Day

Having medals handed out to the best player, somehow signifying those players typify some sort of Anzac spirit? Yep that is disrespectful imo

Because the kids should be getting to bed at a decent time to get up for dawn services, not promoting a night game for people to attend because they have the following day off.

Wait till Anzac day is on the Thursday.

They’ll all be Tigers supporters there then, Dees supporters left for the snow at half time on Sunday.

Don’t think they will move the Collingwood Essendon game away from afternoon.

The fair chance they put another game on That night though.

FNF and Saturday nights are no biggy IMO, at least there's a sleep in.

I'm not a fan of Thursday night or Monday night footy but there is still time for the kids to get a good night sleep.

I'm more for finding ways to encourage kids to attend dawn services, not to promote a sporting event because there's a public holiday the following day.

Shit for fantasy footy and tipping comps that want all tips done before first game start, can see the appeal otherwise though.

There would be plenty who don’t get a sleep in on either Saturday or Sunday mornings due to kids sport - or are the afl supposed to cater for them too?

It’s one game per year LM. Time to just relax a bit.
