LC is not an old SANFL commentator and he has already called a SANFL game this year (Glenelg v Norwood)
Although great to have Lawrie calling some SANFL.

No ... glad to say as announced on our broadcast last week that Chris Kendall will be part of 1079 Life's broadcast of the state game.

I think that is the one BP alludes to.

Good to hear, surely this is not just a once off and will get picked up by the DP for the rest of the season?

Currently DP have a new policy, introduced this year, of not using callers who are with other broadcasters.

I am sure Lawrie Colliver called SANFL in the very early days of 5RPH with DB and even Ian Aitken. We are going back to the mid 90s

Restriction of trade anyone? Lawrie Colliver is on Ch10 and the Cricket Australia broadcasts.

That is one of the funniest things ive read....why would the SANFL restrict some of the better callers from promoting the league with their calls regardless of where it is???

So the DP only employs callers who aren't working anywhere else.

What's the opposite to taking the cream off the top?

Not saying I don’t think it is a stoopid policy, but to suggest that the current callers on the DP are just the milk is being a bit unkind
There are some good callers who know their stuff and know the sanfl. Peter Walsh is the exception with regards to his sanfl / player knowledge.

The Digital Pass is good but the commentary is woeful. Why cant the SANFL get decent commentators to listen to on any forum. It is terrible. Neil Cross is good but its a shallow pool. It is about how they sound obviously . Kym Morgan and Doug Robertson are OK. It would be quite a skill to do it but if we hear this people will turn it off .

The state game is going to be on TV too.
