What's the story with the Milang/Uraidla game last weekend, was there a forfeit or no game played?

You have to feel for these two clubs, it's great they can give blokes a game of footy but it's pretty demoralising at the same time when the other two powerhouse clubs are just waiting for grand final day to see who takes another C grade flag home. Not sure there's much of a future left for C grade which would be pretty disappointing from Milangs perspective.

Great to see Milang have a win against Hahndorf at Hahndorf yesterday. Go the Panthers!

Go the Panthers hope they can do it again in the finals.
Surprising result especially the 3/4 time score. Hahndorf kicking down hill in the last with 6?

Can I just say congratulations Hills Football League, you've done it again.
The game at Blackwood last night against Milang started late due to juniors being on before. Only pushed back an extra hour and the umpire for the match chucked a hissy fit and said he isn't umpiring and left. Got conformation from someone on the board that it was apparently bullshit and not his fault so he just simply left.
Lucky Milang and Blackwood worked something out so a game could be played and a supporter stepped in and umpired for the boys.
It was a very scrappy game, Blackwood got up in a low scoring windy game.
Does anybody know results from the Hahndorf Uraidla game last night?

Hahndorf got up by about 11-12 goal. To Uraidlas credit they fought back in the second half after being down 10 goal at half time.

Seems a tad strange that they play the C Grade grand final between Hahndorf and Blackwood on a Friday night at Blackwood when both sides are playing on the Saturday at Hahndorf. Would have thought Saturday night after the main sides play would have been perfect. Surely more of a crowd

That would make sense, but I think from memory last year both Hahndorf and Blackwood played the grandfinal at Hahndorf so maybe the HFL is sharing it around???

Yes it was.
Wondering because Blackwood minor premiers, they get to have a home ground advantage.

Blackwood take out the 2017 premiership. Great contest with the lead changing multiple times.

Any word yet on a Div 3/C grade for this year?
Heard Milang and Uraidla had looked at entering teams but amazed both grand finalists Blackwood and Hahndorf don't seem to be doing so.
Are Ironbank or any other clubs a chance?

Was mentioned in the Final Siren that there is no C grade comp this year. HFL are hoping to get enough interest to restart it again next year.

Should join with the SFL C grade comp, Im amazed that neighboring leagues don't look to merge their comps in grades like this and juniors that would benefit everyone.

There has been suggestions of the formation of a "Sunday Football League" comprising the remaining teams of the SFL & HFL C-Grade competitions in 2019

Would make a lot of sense, this is where the Community FL should drive this to increase participation, I'm sure there would be some HFL/GSFL clubs that could field Sunday juniors also.
