Port Adelaide 2018

Talk on the national game

It's proven by players that leave. Impey can now all of a sudden hit targets.

Same goes for new players. We're all amazed at their foot skills.

Houston was about as good a kick as I've seen early days. Now a shell of that player. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

About to post something similar if you can’t kick you can’t play.

Yeahhhh but it's connected to confidence and ball movement.

When you have a coach that has absolutely no faith in you it would probably make you hesitant and nervous.

We have plenty of good kicks in the side.

Serious question, Who? As I really can’t see any.

Houston, Bonner, Wingard, Polec.

Heck J.Brown rated Polec as the best kick he'd seen when at Brisbane.

I agree we have average foot skills. But I don't agree were not capable of having good foot skills. If that makes sense.

Reckon Port now to kick right away.

If Tex Walker declared himself fit for today, which clearly he is not he should stand down as captain, worst performance in a showdown by a captain of either club in the history of the game

Absolute fantastic result no question. Huge turn around after half time.

But this makes more frustrated! Why the f**k weren’t we like that in the first half? At half time I was f**king livid, our foot skills were disgusting and Johno Brown or not Polec was 100% disgusting. DBJ and Houston (not up to it IMO) not much better, I don’t sit there looking at stats, I just watch what I see and Polec, DBJ and Houston were terrible by foot. Houston’s decision making is the worst I’ve seen. Pittard offers far more.

Kenny must of literally sprayed them at half time as in the second half Watts looked interested, Wingard was more interested in the footy than his hair, Neade laid tackles and tried to justify his golden ticket!

Carey’s best- Rockcliff, Robbie, Boak, TJ, Ryder, SPP, Ebo

I thought SPP was very good in the last half.

Houston trying to be far too cute with his disposal. No orphan within the team by foot, however.

Chad, despite his monumental error which lead to McGovern's goal, had a wonderful 2nd half. Restricted Laird' s influence to well below usual output. Nice to see a coaching group realise, after 2 1/2 years, that the bloke can play.

Rob is just about the best player in the comp when he flicks the switch to god mode. His 3rd quarter was out of this world.

Ryder2Gray left me in a mound of jizz.

Port, in the space of 3 hours, caused my emotions to range from angry, to proud, to tears, to pure elation. Steven Motlop you star!

Valleys' best- R.Gray, Rockliff, Jonas, Ryder, Westhoff.

Who was that bloke that reckoned cos Rockliff didn't give a **** about his shitty SANFL game that he was no good again?

Nek minnit

14 kicks, 17 handballs, 12 contested possessions, 6 clearances, 9 tackles and other than an out of this world performance from Gray was the best player on the ground.

Credit to Port for fighting back in the 2nd half and winning

BUT

If you all get carried away by that 1 win and you think Port are a genuine Flag contender again, do so at your own peril

Played an undermanned Crows side in front of Ports home crowd and also received the run of the umpires that really did influence the result.

3 goals from Free Kicks in the 2nd half were VERY FORTUNATE imo and a fair chance next week none of them would be paid

Port have lost to Essendon (How the F*** did that happen going on Essendons recent results?)
Beat the Winless Brisbane at Home by a bees dick
Losing to Geelong and West Coast in the manner that they did just shows how far off the mark they are.

I only watched the 2nd half and if the Crows won that then it would have been Highway Robbery of the highest order. Adelaide is that far underdone atm and on another day would have lost that game by 6 goals. Port played well, but yes still some question marks over them for me also. Crows worry me a lot.

Ken isn’t your man either, in 3 weeks time when Port aren’t playing on emotion it will be interesting to see if they can ditch years of habit.

Don't think many Port fans would agree with that. In fact, like me , most would say it's ridiculous. The fact he's not a robot is what makes him so well respected inside the 4 walls of PAFC.
