For **** sake.

All Bedge and I are saying is the AdFL should have overriding power to grade the extreme (strong or weak) clubs into the appropriate division given a clear set of non anecdotal criteria.

It isn't one measurement or another. It's a combination of all of them.

There are any number of clubs that have been adversely affected by the rigidity of the grading system we have over many years. To say that isn't the case is utter folly and ignoring the fundamentally obvious.

Are you serious? I was saying there is nothing wrong with the Adelaide Footy League system.

As for the heads in the sand comment, the SFL has made significant changes over the past few years, which culminated in four clubs shifting to the Adelaide Footy League as they could no longer meet standards (plus another in Brighton who left for geographical reasons). All four of those moved have been positive for both parties, and we are now in a much better shape as a result.

Yes we have had our issues, but to suggest it has been ignored is pure ignorance from yourself.

Prefer to say that Morphy Parks didnt reach the criteria set by the SFL regarding Saturday morning juniors, rather than we didnt meet the standard, but I get what you mean...... I hope. ;)

Combination of reasons LK and LGIL with geography just one factor. The establishment of SANFL juniors and the ability for us to provide a better pathway for our juniors with our 50/50 split of public and private schoolers plus the AdFL structure of all senior footy on a Saturday with mostly triple headers were other major factors. And the novelty of regular big wins across all grades against some clubs had worn off and the time was right to move on. But no regrets on our 20 years in the SFL plus the extra 3 years for our juniors. It enabled us to establish our strong junior structure at a time when there was no other local alternative and when we left the SAAFL they were having their own issues with the entry of the SAFA and CDFA clubs plus moving away from being an "amateur league".

That's what I was referring to, standards were set regarding minimum teams to be filled. Geographically that was very difficult for Morphie Park.

Disagree with Morell.

The current promotion/relegation system is an experiment in game theory that will lead to behavioral psychologists to study it for years.

It's pure prisoner's dillema and amazing it hasn't already been fixed

No issues with the current set up imo. I do find it ironic with many opinions 3+ years back that Brahma and co should stay in their div and cop their medicine. Now clubs do then there is an issue that the league hasn’t intervened. Seriously can’t win.

Tough day at the Den today. St Pauls very physical, all tied up a 1/4 time. Lonsdale eventually pulled away by 6 goals. I think St Pauls will go along way this year.

Should be a cracking finish to the back half of the minor round. OSB Lonsdale the hunted, a win against them will be a huge factor in securing a berth in the finals with 6 other teams fighting for the final four spots in the top five.

HDFC with a real challenge sitting seventh- realistically need to win six of the last nine to get in. The bye coming at the right time and should see several players return from injury in a couple of weeks. Have shown we are capable of beating the top side, so 6 from 9 a real possibility.

And not to mention Houghton's B grade who have been fairly awesome all season so far. Can't get complacent as you know what can happen come finals. Be glad for the bye but I am still very pumped for the return fixtures with a clear goal of remaining undefeated and hopefully bring home the rewards at the end of the season.

A grade still needs a little fine tuning and also need to believe in themselves and find the win as it's not that far away.

Awesome turn up of the past players too on Saturday as it was good to see them old boys come out to watch.

Go you Raiders!!!!!
