That happened the last time SA lost a seat, Bonython.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

And it's Port Adelaide (proposed to be abolished).

Now if only the AFL would take the lead of the AEC....

And now it's gone, to be replace by the "new" seat Spence, named after Catherne Helen Spence, the female suffragette who led the charge in the 1890s to give women the vote here in SA.

Interesting times for the ALP...

Port Adelaide gone - a very safe seat.
Makin and Wakefield, now Spence, will move further south. You'd expect Makin will remain Labor and Spence will become an even stronger ALP stronghold for Nick Champion (as the northern parts of the seat, Balak and Clare, surely be excised).
You'd think Butler would target Hindmarsh. So what can the ALP offer Georganas to step aside? Or will it be a knock-em-down, drag-out fight?

You can't have it both ways mate.

In one thread you tell us to stick our Victorian rubbish and in another call for the abolition of the mighty PAFC.

We must have really hurt you. :D
PAFC. Forever.

Nah basically makes Makin, Adelaide, Spence and Hindmarsh solid safe Labor seats - Western and Northern suburbs of Adelaide. Kingston Outer South is on a 15% margin for the ALP largely due to a patsy running against the Ridgeworth.

The only interesting time for the ALP is who they sacrifice internally for Butler.

Boothby and Sturt more LIb (Eastern and Inner South suburbs) add Mayo (nominally LIb) Grey and Barker and you've got a 50:50 split of the SA seats.

Kate Ellis not going again in Adelaide. so frees up a seat but it belongs to the right and Butler is from the left; so watch for Butler to be given safe passage to the seat of Adelaide as he simultaneously withdraws his nomination for the ALP Presidency. The reason will be as he now has a new electorate he will need to spend more time getting to know it

A bloodless coup for the right

Kate might throw a spanner in the works with a backflip and nominate again given her seat is more safe under the redistribution......

Kelly O'Dwyer, Financial Services Minister, on ABC Insiders, drowning badly regarding the banking royal commission. Exposed to her opposition to this commission. Dumb, silly and badly out of her depth.

Barrie Cassidy has her squirming on the big tax cuts for banks (the highest receiver of the company tax cuts) and what she thinks they will do with the billions. Reduce fees, wage increases? Do you trust the banks? Do you? Would not answer.

Barrie was very nice in not asking who she worked for prior to her political life (NAB).

Cash asks for a subpoena be set aside.
How does anybody, much less a senator get the privilege to deny court instructions?
Wtf is going on with this government?
Her boss should instruct her to attend or resign?

Cash should've been sacked long ago. If she was from any other party, News Corpse would've been screaming for her resignation.

By trying to have it set aside, she's saying she has something to hide. I'd like to know what that is!

You can apply to a court to have the subpoena set aside. Then the court listens to your arguments and decides whether or not to set it aside. It's a standard thing people can do when they're issued with a subpoena. If she's unsuccessful in having it set aside then she'll comply.

She's been asked to give testimony. Not give up her first born.
What argument could she possibly put up?
