Bit of a common theme at Port.

Our development of key position and rucks is almost non existent.

He was probably next cab off the rank.

Ladhams has only just come off the injury list and Frampton isn't looking like he's up to it.

Billy has dropped away, was the great rucking hope not long ago

Oh yeah, where did you read that or are you just trolling?

( No need to answer.... )

Certainly not trolling, he was constantly mentioned to play when Ryder was injured

My team is going so shit I have no right to troll

All stems back to spending far too long on Mason Shaw and Mitch Harvey and the steep drop off from Lobbe across two seasons. '13/'14'/'15 saw those three stall or go backwards.

Spent 3 years with Shaw and two years with Harvey hoping to see them replace Schulz, never eventuated and we had to go after Dixon.

Clurey and Howard the only ones we can lay claim to in the last 4-5 years as having been successfully developed in house.

This time last year many judges saw something in him, given he's a ruckman and not yet 22 we do need to be patient with him for one more year I would think.

OLLIE WINES TELLS PORT ADELAIDE SUPPORTERS A NEW DEAL WILL GET DONE

Port Adelaide star Ollie Wines has reassured fans he doesn’t plan to go anywhere following reports earlier in the week he had ‘backflipped’ on his future at the club.

“I think perhaps a couple of headlines came around my wording of answering the question about my contract,” Ollie told FIVEaa on Thursday. “From my perspective, from the club’s perspective, nothing’s changed in the last 8-10 weeks. I’m conformable where I’m at.“As soon as you say something that’s a little bit off and you haven’t been saying it, a headline will be created. From my perspective I’m completely in the same spot I was for my whole career -- I love this club, I enjoy playing with my teammates, the coaches… it will get done.”

FIVEaa understands the length of the new deal is the sticking point in contract talks, with Wines preferring a shorter -- possibly two-year -- deal, while the club would prefer to lock down their star mid on a longer deal.

“I guess there’s a little bit of worry going around the supporters, but I want to assure them I’m happy where I am,” Wines said. “I’m looking to sign soon.”“There’s nothing in your contract that says you have to sign four months before your current contract’s up. By no means am I rushing to sign. I’ve still got plenty of time.“I’m comfortable with where the club’s at and what they’re offering, it’s just I don’t want to sign yet. For people to not understand that it’s difficult for me because I’m the only one that can control that decision.“Obviously supporters can be worried… but I’ve got to assure them I’m happy, the club’s comfortable

How early will the GA seats at the top of the western stand fill up tonight?
I know some fair weather supporters heading along that want to be under cover but also don't want to get there at 4pm to save a seat.

I don't reckon there will be a huge crowd tonight because of the forecast weather.

Thought of you this morning - the Mrs had all her clobber out ready to wear tonight.. topped off with a signed PA jumper - felt like informing her that wasn't appropriate clothing attire for the footy!
