7 games and despite the comments from my last post, that's what he deserved, they should have come down hard, and they did, hopefully he will learn from this

Is he allowed to run water/boundary ump or do anything of any capacity?

From my understanding, if you are suspended, your not allowed passed the boundary fence onto the oval, not sure if this rule applies to junior grade

From what I understand, a colt will face the tribunal for touching an umpire?

The boy involved is a junior colt playing senior colts and to put it bluntly, he had a melt down due to an umpiring decision (something many others have done in the past) unfortunately for him, he did touch the umpire.

7 weeks for touching the umpire? Sounds a bit extreme to me.

Never saw the incident but just flicking the card out of his hand apparently is touching, I thought maybe 4, out of character, good record, seen worse for less. On too the Landmark cup, same format as last yr which is good I think, U17 finished by 1230ish, not sure how hosting clubs see it as plenty parents leave virtually straight away but I love the format. Thanks LQ for update.

Sporting Pulse
Match Day Transfers
Each league participating in the Landmark Cup is responsible for entering their participating players in A Grade and Under 17s onto Sporting Pulse. After consultation with the Regional Programs Manager of the Community Football League it was agreed to enter them as “Match Day” Transfers.
Association's were meant to have this done last night yet nothing on sporting pulse.

From memory ours is something like
Harkness, clements, roads, mcpharlin, payne, studham, ruiz, slattery, hocking, humphrys, michael, seal, birchmore, forrest, wise, tyler, daly, burrows, guy, pedlar, arbon, shubert, nottle. Maybe missing 1 or 2.
Everyone over 28 opted out except for tyler who was named captain. Payne and wise vc.
Looks to be a young side but i heard everyone named is dead keen.
A few others would have been named but no communication from them so they picked guys who trained.

Not many talls/big bodies but hell, they'll be fast at the very least. Maybe not a bad thing.

Not sure.
Couple from mallala would have been named but were apparently unavailable. Nobody heard from any of the virginia players apart from 2 who pulled out with the age card.

I doubt anyone will end up suspended and nor should they really. You either wanna play or dont.
Most of what is named trained at least 2 times and many 3 times.
Reward for effort and apparently are dead keen as they should be.
Young and fast, pray for rain.

Has the Landmark Cup run its race?

Just seems interest in this comp is dwindling each year.

It’s a struggle to get senior coaches, only three blokes over 28 have made themselves available in the past two years.

Simon Tyler accounts for two of those himself.

There were glaring omissions in the selected squad too.

Where was Nik Seccafien? Josh Watson?
