I'm not sure how 2 shit teams playing a shit game means it's not a world class sport?
Wouldn't the fact that you actually have to be a good team to play a good game make it a world class sport?
Be like saying after watching St Kilda v Carlton that Aussie Rules is a shit sport. :?
I love soccer but wouldn't even consider watching Australia v Hungary or an A League game.

We could easily play him ahead of Kruse.
He has the potential to do for this campaign what Cahill did for 06. And if he doesn't? I'd still rather know than have Kruse play and not learn anything.

And eff Milligan.

Agree that Arzani needs to play ahead of Kruse without doubt.

Depends on who the France line up with but with Mbappe and Griezmann we can’t go with two old fashioned lumbering centre backs, they will get in and behind all day.

I reckon Jedinak will come in at centre back for Miligan though and leave Mooy and Luongo in the deeper midfield roles.

I swear I will nearly cry if Jedinak doesn’t start

Absolute heart and sole of the squad, set piece specialist both as the taker and aerially which may be our only opportunity to score.

Would be like the Hawks leaving out Hodge or Brisbane leaving out Voss from a GF.

Realistically I think a good result against France would be losing by no more than 2 goals. That would still give us the potential to go through. Interesting Mbappe may miss due to an injury at training

So what is your starting line ups looking like?

Ryan
Risdon Sainsbury Jedinak Behich
Mooy Luongo
Arzani Rogic Leckie
Nabbout

Pace on the counter and hope for some free kicks that can be swung in...

I will be happy with scoring a couple of goals and if we can get a win then that's a bonus.

Love it mate and that’s what I would select

Unfortunately though I think it appears Kruse will start and Arzani’s role will be to have an impact as a sub (my thoughts are that will generally be to late)

You missed my point Wedgie, perhaps I didn't make it clearly enough to be fair. The game had 3 goals, 2 of them own goals, one of them from a horrendous keeping error. This particular game IS NOT world class sport, nor is St Kilda Vs Carlton. In fact AFL does not rank as world class for me. I never said soccer was not world class. I will take only a passing interest in the world cup. For you round ball blokes, I hope you enjoy it, too much diving & staging for free's ruins the game for me. Just my 2 cents.

Fair call then mate!
Im a round ball fan but the World Cup doesn't overly interest me, only looking forward to having something to watch when I get home at 2.30am once a week from work. Used to l9ve it in the 80s and 90s though.
Been a Rugby League fan for decades but State of Origin has never appealed to me either.

Rumours going around that Julen Lopetegui might have been sacked as Spain's coach because he too the Real job!
Surely not?

I think Bert will be ultra consevative against France, I'm not expecting to see Rogic or Arzani to start. Jedinak must start. He look very solid in the second half against Hungary. I think he will go with....
