Ebert hasn't been great mate, his disposal has taken a step backwards this year IMO.

I think Watts is still in the best 21 for Port, dry warm day with Marshall and Dixon it looks a better lineup. He hasn't kicked many goals but he uses the ball well and generally makes good decisions, and given his size will always attract a reasonable defender.

Spot on. I still think Johnson is in front of Thomas as the other small forward but probably needs another week or two after coming back from his injury and Thomas has been one of our best in the SANFL each week since his return. Although next Friday night if dry, Watts probably comes back in at the expense of Thomas. As Booney mentioned, Trengove next in line through the mids should one of them go down. Little worried about Atley as i rate him but i think he has fallen down the order a bit. Didn't get a game when SPP & Rocky were both out, played alright on the weekend in his return from a niggle. Was hoping he would be pressuring some of our mids this season for a spot like Trengove is

Bit of a two fold move from Hinkley.

The weather certainly doesn't lend itself to playing 3 talls tonight and it gives Watts a game at Alberton to earn his spot back in the side to face his old team next Friday night.

I'll head around to Alberton with interest on Saturday. 1) to see how Port Adelaide structure up against the very well coached Sturt side after the Anzac Day clash was played on the Double Blue's terms all day and, 2) to watch Watts and Neade's attitude after being dropped from AFL level.

I'm happy to talk about it in here as it's Port Adelaide related but the SANFL forum is a no go for me, impossible to have any sort of reasonable discussion in there.

Genuine question, I haven't been taking notice.
I do remember it raining in China but assume it wasn't cold that day nor do I know if it was windy. Nights a bit diff too.

One thing I don't think I've seen Port commended on much (if at all) is their player list and TPP state. According to a commentator recently, basically said "It's widely known Port has more Cap space than any other club". Nearly fell off my chair when I heard that. Absolutely outstanding wheeling and dealing given the large number of quality players on their list.

It has been mentioned in here at some stage.

Was discussed at the Members Convention that Port "nearly" landed another FA last year and will be well placed to be in the market for another at the end of this season as well as having 1 first round pick, 2 second round picks and a third round pick in the upcoming draft.

Excellent list management by Davies and his team. We'll be well placed to inject 4 kids into the program after we added 4 from the 2017 AFL draft. ( Hayes, Farrell, Patmore and Garner ).

How many years has Aaron Hall got on his contact? I know he requested a trade to us at the end of last year but it didn't eventuate. Had a good start to the season leading up to their bye, will be interesting to see if he wants to come here again at the end of 2018

EDIT - Just saw he is out of contract at the end of this year
