FWIW

I've already tried to reason with Admin to have him back- but he's a stupidly stubborn and unreasonable person at times - and as a result of this, we've also lost a perfectly good moderator too (LM)

To one of my female friends (who I pick up from work at night), that protectiveness was an example she used in a post about how women shouldnt have to be cautious. I get where everyone is coming from in this instance. Something needs to be done though as I feel we are teetering on the edge of going down the US path and women getting guns to protect themselves. And we don’t want that.

He repeatedly posted in the world cup thread about soccer, rather than specifically the world cup.

Admin warned him to stop or he'd get banned. He didn't, admin banned him.

Interestingly, Admin then went on to post another 6 comments about the banning, (all within the world cup thread), each of those 6 posts were clearly not about the world cup.

I am concerned that I too have gone off topic.
This is a thread about things that make you sad.
I feel any comments from me about Morgan's ban should be in the things that make you laugh thread.

It does make me laugh a little though, as if someone like morell would be upset or annoyed that he couldn't post for a month, he's probably glad that he isn't drawn to logging in and wasting time.

A month was pretty ridiculous though after seeing some of the shit that gets let through.

It was pretty irresponsible of you to let yourself get kicked in the head by another male. You should have been more cautious.

Well the irresponsible part was wearing headphones the whole bus ride home, not paying attention to my surroundings, etc. And it was two males and a female.

Telling men they shouldn't do something isn't going to stop the f**kin psychopaths, so do everything YOU can do to protect yourself.

Do people think rapists are going to think, "Wait, I SHOULDN'T attack women?" just because people say so?
