All I want to know is if we played a nice friendly game of cricket, where everyone was friends and we played the game in a nice spirit.

I have a new favourite number: 481. ;)
Come to think of it, 242 is not that bad a number either :D

Are we really getting upset/disappointed about an ODI game?
It's barely relevant.

I'm just amazed England made 481! I literally thought it was a mistake when I first read it.

I'm happy we scored 481 against the aussies :D

In all seriousness the game is irrelevant though as the aussies have there second string bowling line up. The only thing it does show is bowling depth is not quite yet there. I'm amazed Nathan Lyon can't get a gig, he's by far your best spinner. Also why is Khawaja not in this one day side? He's been very good at state level for years in one dayers, yet Short has one good T20 tournament and is in.

That was a bad loss for us but it was an anomaly. Our one day form has been superb in the past few years and we are the number 1 ranked team in the world for a reason and you guys have a second string team.

Bowling depth has been exposed but I guess getting games into the next tier isn't a bad thing. Lyon has to play though, always been a very economical one day bowler. And I guess it's down to Short being young and they want to blood the youth in preperation for future World Cups instead of going back to someone like Khawaja.

At least when we lost to Bangladesh, Andrew Symonds was still pissed from the night before.....what's England's excuse?

Since when has getting games into the 2nd tier become the cherter for the Australian cricket team? Its a joke the way selectors treat playing for Australia these days. Picking an ODI team on T20 domestic form where none of the best Australians play and the remaining talent is spread thinner through 8 teams instead of 6 is just plain ridiculous.
Abolish one day cricket, just play a world cup every 4 years, its a meaningless series for most people.
Also on what planet is our Captain in our best one day team?? Pick the 11, then pick the best Captain. Is Carey on the tour?

Since the selectors and coaches decided that World Cups are the priority and these types of ODI series are a dress rehearsal to the World Cups?

Yes, Carey is in the squad.

I know that I harp on about it but all Khawaka has to do is move to WA. The bias to their players has been bad for years with Langer an unofficial selector.
Now that he is officially in charge the bias will get worse.
