Couldn't be happier with the current set up, by far the best we've ever had.

Thanks mate, glad to have helped :D

I forgot about the arsehole lounge.

even though I post on here a lot less now, I still check when bored at work,
I think since I signed up to twitter (big mistake) I use this a lot less and that a lot more.
but I think twitter is starting to run its course now.

Just cable tied a few political posters to a couple of mates fences. Should give them something colourful to wake up to tomorrow.

Seeing the AFL as the third sports story on all the morning shows today behind The Football World Cup, The State of Origin and then the aussie rules.

Oh if this would happen more than once every four years lol.

Thursday, Adelaide has the bye, Australia play tonight, perfect storm that's not going to blow in often.

Lucky, if it blew in more often more pretty boys would grab their ankles in despair. ;)

Agree mate, was just rather refreshing for a change from the usual 'So and so has started contract negotiations etc etc', 'so and so is in do doubt for this weeks clash', 'so and so say they must win this week etc etc'

The way I use the inter-ma-net, all I see is gridiron and baseball news. Sometimes something like Nuffies or Carlton Draft will pop up, but I don't see any AFL, soccer or cricket news ever. Couldn't tell you whats going on. It's great.

Australian sport and Australian sport coverage is piss.

I got pulled over the other night on the way home from flag football. He took my license and held it the whole stop. Another cop car pulled into the car park adjacent to the curb Id pulled over at. Breatho (negative), drug swab (negative), once over the whole car with the torch (negative).

Ended up telling me my tyres weren't bald, but they will be when the tread that touches the road wears out. He was a real thinker. I told him I'd keep an eye on it.

Thanks for playing. Better luck next time.

Still on parental leave, but dropped into work today for the last time to drop off my pass. After 10.5 years tomorrow will be my last day at DST Group.

Going to work for Lockheed Martin on the future submarine project. Looking forward to the new challenge

Cheers. Looking forward to it. Was stagnating in my current role and didn’t feel like I wanted to “settle” line so many do (and what gives the public service a bad name)

And on the plus side for everyone else I’ll likely not be able to post as much on here

Defence is like a black hole: if you don't manage to get past the event horizon it will slowly draw you back in.

I left DSTO (sic) back in '00. Worked in industry for a while but ended up in the academic arena. Started doing contract work for defence. Eventually ended up stationed out there again for 8 years as a contractor. Broke free a second time doing work for the commercial sector, but it's all happening again: much of my wage is now paid via defence contracts.

I'll bet you haven't seen the last of the old salt mine...
