Melb are still weak as piss. Dominated that game for the majority, inside 50’s were 68-39 their way & still gave it away.
Port - lucky tonight.

Note to AFL:
Friday night, 2 Teams likely to play finals, Stadium with a decent crowd = good game.
Its not that hard. Now to get your umps to be consistent and we're on a winner.

Umpiring was forkin horrid

By my count Port had 17 ofthe last 21 frees. They were pretty poor all night though TBF. The umpiring gets worse each week

For Port to win a game on the back of their defensive action, they've come along nicely

The 1 that got me. Port player quick kick out of defence partly smothered = deliberate. About 30 secs later south-east pocket a Port player clearly went for the line and nothing....
The 1st one wasnt deliberate for mine but the 2nd was clear cut.

How they missed some marks. Some over the shoulder contact was paid at 1 end but not the other!

Am I the only one who hasn’t bought into Melbourne this year? They aren’t elite, and I don’t rate them tha5 highly. Too harsh?

Nope, I agree. Beat up on the rubbish and can’t get over sides in the 8. They are as resolute as an arrowroot biscuit dunked in coffee.

40k is not enough. As a member I constantly receive emails updating me on our membership tally. We have 60k plus members and can only get 40k on a Friday night blockbuster in cold but perfect weather. West coast getting 50k plus week in week out makes me jealous. If we only get 40k to games from 60k members then West Coast must have 75k to get 50k to games.

It's the one thing we always do well. Didn't matter if it was at Subiaco Oval but even more so now at the new stadium.
Every time I go to West Coast matches at Adelaide Oval I'm always surprised with how many WC supporters are at the match.

Can't believe they lost that last night. Bit weak in the end.

West Coast have over 70k members. Membership has little co-relation to attendance as there are many members who have little or no match day tickets. Hawks have 80,000 members and got 27k last week, Richmond 100,000 members and get 40k crowds
