Round 9

Bute v Central Yorke= Cougars
Bute has a very young side with not a lot a size about them compared to Maitland who have massive units everywhere and will be beaten in the contest all over the ground. Cougars by the length of the Flemington straight.

Kadina v Ardrossan =Ardrossan
Kadina are struggling and half the players named for Saturday would not make the side last year and a few years back hence why on bottom of the ladder but is getting game time into the next generation which is fantastic. Ardrossan need to win to stay in touch with the 5 and should get the job done on the big rec centre ground .

Paskeville v Wallaroo =Pasky
Pasky got to within 3 goals in the last quarter last week against the top side and had more A graders running water then playing. Wallaroo had a surprise win over the crows but if you look closely then you would see Crows had plenty missing and big guns too. Wally World get Cutting back this week which will give another scoring option but Pasky at home.

Southern Eagles v CMS Crows =Crows
Crows have had a number of their best players out but get some back Saturday including the Mail Medal winner Wanganeen who’s been down at the Bays. Eagles are in good form and are building nicely and are certainly a chance Saturday.

All the best

Round 10

Bute v Southern Eagles = Eagles
Bute have been competitive all year and their young list continues to improve but the Eagles are finals bound and will win this game. Mummy still tracking for around 80ish this season and this game might add 10 to his tally.

Kadina v Moonta = Moonta
Moonta a top 2 side should account for the bottom side but it will be a good contest up on Kadina’s big deck.

CMS Crows v Paskeville =Paskeville
Paskeville should have won by 15 goals last game v Wallaroo and are in good form and the Crows are a bit hit and miss and still aren’t near full
strength. Pasky in a close one along way from home.

Wallaroo v Ardrossan =Ardrossan
Wallaroo were horrible against Pasky but so were Ardrossan against Kadina. Ardrossans finals chances hang on this game, drop this and their cooked.
Ardrossan just have to win and will.

Not sure the wheels have fallen off when you’re 2nd on the ladder but they have a new president. Talk of player unrest is normal for Moonta, a club that seem to have something all ways going on up there.
Old president has joined his big full forward brother at Fitzroy by looking at the clearances.
Moonta if they get it together will be there come the end of the season.

Round 11

Ardrossan v CY Cougars = Cougars
Ardrossan would dearly love to claim a big scalp at home and keep them in contention for finals but I just can’t see it happening. Maitland well rested after 2 weeks off and will win, even with a star player out on suspension for not playing in the landmark cup.

Paskeville v Bute =Pasky
Paskeville get a few back this week including A Bruce from a 1 week ban for not playing in the “who cares cup” and will win and push for a double chance spot. Bute will try hard and make it a good contest.

Wallaroo v Kadina =Kadina
Kadina will be up n about after last weeks win and will be looking for their 2nd win of the year. Wallaroo struggling at the moment and I can’t see them winning. Kadina to get 2 in a row.

Southern Eagles v Moonta =Eagles
Some say the wheels have fallen off at Moonta , I’m not a believer in that just yet but it will be hard for them to win going from playing on a tennis court size oval regularly to the largest oval in Australia and with a few key personnel out will make it even harder. Eagles are travelling nicely and I think they will win.

I new this was coming after hearing the around the ground scores being read out. Southern Eagles are certainly up and about and with a few big outs for Moonta I did Predict a Moonta loss but obviously not that big. I’ll give them 1 more week and if they lose to Wally World at home I will agree with you.

Premiership up date after rd 11

Very even comp this year as shows in the market with any of the top 6 believing they can win it. Bute the bottom side has pushed most teams or even been in front at 3QT only to be ran down late. Statistically only the top 6 can make it from here still and pressure is on Ardrossan to stay in the race.

CY Cougars $2.75 -steady
Paskeville $3.75 -up
CMS crows$4.00 -steady
Moonta $4.00. -down
Southern Eagles $4.50 -up
Ardrossan $10 -up
Kadina $51 -up
Wallaroo NYP
Bute NYP

*NYP= name your price

Half of the side are not locals now. How would the points go with the 2 new inclusions? I'm guessing they had a lot of points to start with.

Ardrossan and Bute have struggled for years with numbers and on field performances. Both clubs have 20 pts
Ardrossan should win Saturday but the Pasky game after the bye looms as a massive game, drop that and its all up hill to make the finals and with 20 pts being used and who knows how much coin each week that would be ordinary.
Ardrossan gone all in,let’s hope it works.
