I seriously think one journo goes with a story so they all just jump on the bandwagon whether they are true or not.

I thought the timings of both announcements were a little odd. Major signing and it’s an early Sunday morning announcement?

That presser could have put this all to bed and ended the story but has done far from that.

I will ask you also. What exact questions do you want answered?

I actually have no interest in the story but I think the general public / Crows fans want the full truth. It was obvious to blind freddy that Brett Burton and Pyke were not on the same page and they were trying to follow some form of company line rather than give the honest truth.

Ironically you didn't answer my question

9am Sunday, prime time mate!

So do we all assume Sloane told them during the bye that he's off and they found the other $150k for Lynch during the week and got it done pronto?

history probably says yes. The others that have left had stopped their media commitments on various radio stations so if Sloan pulls up stumps soon that'll we be my indicator that he's gone

As I said in an earlier post, Douglas resigned with probably $200k less and that was passed onto Lynch

I doubt Sloane will be in Adelaide next season

So it could be from $400k - $800k. Although he says he has sources. (big Footy)

The true indicator of this camp and the season will be come October, I suspect there will be some sweeping changes off field and if the rumours are true some players seeking out also.

That will tell us the true story of season 2018.

@mighyhounds

I take an interest in how major companies/organisations manage damage control regardless of what the story is. In my experience this has been poorly handled.

Just watched Tom Lynch' presser from today. Was asked about collective minds and said it was a collective decision to move on from them. I wonder if this was raised by most of the players when they had their individual meetings during the bye week

When Burton was tip toeing around the question if the camp was a pass or fail, and Pyke spoke over him and said "it was a fail"...loved it from Pyke.

Yeah I must admit I liked that from Pyke. A bit of honesty which is what is needed to put this bizzare thing where it belongs and that's in the gutter. Unfortunately McClure, Barrett, Rucci live there so it probably still won't go away.

Really the only way for it to be killed off is for the crows to start winning again and lock a few more players in. Lynch was a really good start.

Plenty of other scribes have said there's more questions than answers from it and I agree. It's like they were happy telling us a few things but not happy telling us some others.

Should have been all in or nothing IMO.

No club would divulge fully what happens behind closed doors (or on camps). If Rucci, Mclure, Barrett or Cornes expect the Crows to then I'd expect them to fully divulge their sources.
