As I said Saturday, you guys definitely used both your "Get out of Jail free" cards on Saturday.

Best two games of footy I've seen us play this year, despite the results.

Please apologise to James Warren. I actually didn't realise he was even in the photo, I took it for H's mark yet not one person commented on it
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

hes a fifo player..great to see him come back out this year, to good for C grade so we gave him a run in the reserves and he was able to produce the same results..got a great balk and finds the pill real easy..happy with his progression mate..

fwiw HVFC were excellent in all grades saturday..played some great footy in the A grade..we knew they were much improved just going on the WSFC result the week before..i would expect them to be very, very competitive this week v BOSFC who, like most clubs right now, are suffering from a build up of "outs"..

Zedman I heard someone slid tackled the big fella which led to the winning goal?

Ladder after Rd 11
20 - CBCOC
18 - Lockleys
16 - Kenilworth
14- Pulteney
12 - Woodville South

-----------------------------
12 - Blackfriars OS
08 - Smithfield
06 - Hope Valley
02 - Hectorville
02 - Ingle Farm

Interesting finish to the season coming up, round 18 could decide the double chance when Lockleys face off against Kenilworth. It's hard to see the top 5 changing unfortunately, doubts surround the BOS depth, and at the moment they're vulnerable. Whilst their next 3 weeks look softer on paper with HV, HEC and IF, their final month is considerably harder with CBC, PUL, SMI and WS. Can't afford to drop their game this weekend, and we look set for a Rd 18 showdown for 5th spot.

Ingle Farm and Hectorville are destined for D6 next year, now two wins behind the next closest side, the two sides would need to realistically find 3 wins out of the last 7 games to remain a hope, given Hope Valley play them both over the coming period and form would indicate will win at least one of those matches if not both. Round 16 could be the last chance for either side to win a game for the season.

CBC look destined to finish top, they have the most comfortable finish to the season of all sides with HV, HEC, and IF to close out the season - not sure whether that softer draw will work in their favour or against them, especially with the week off for finals - after the mid year break they returned to lose by 6 goals to Kenilworth, they'd effectively be mirroring that mid-year 4/5 week period at the important time of the year.

For me, CBC and Kenilworth look a step ahead of the rest, Lockleys not too far behind. Pulteney have the weapons but appear too inconsistent and reliant on too few at the moment. Woody South have quality depth behind that and could seriously impact the finals if they make it, but I think Blackfriars would just be making up numbers if they scrape in.

We actually beat Kenilworth by 6 goals after the mid year break, but yes it is a soft draw heading into the finals.

Fat Boy Special!

Unfortunately though two things:
a) D6 probably has a larger array of pathetic BBQ/canteen options than D5.
b) It's no certainty i'll be in D6 next year.
