Yep, I agree, Ablett snr pulled rank for me.

Carey use to play CHF for Parafield Gardens High School open team when he was in year 9, fair freak early.

It is hard to compare Buddy with Locket and Dunstall since they are such different players.
I just think Buddy has more tricks than the other two.

It’s a good argument though as they are all such great players.

Yep, footy has evolved, Dunstall had the luxury of exquisite delivery from arguably the most dominant team of any era, he could obviously hold a grab and kick straight too, probably spent 95% of his career in the forward arc.
Lockett was pure brute strength that allowed him to go one out in the square and kick a bag, his numbers are crazy, imagine if he played at a strong club in the 80's.

At the risk of coming to Dixon's defense, you gotta remember his first few years he was playing at the suns in a side getting pumped every week.
Over his last 6 seasons, hes been at 1.8 goals per game. Not brilliant, but not the worst.
