Adelaide Crows 2018

Talk on the national game

Where to for the Fog now? He's been cut & you can see why with the FWD line looking very top heavy. With McGoveran in the wings still, realistically is there going to be room for the Fog in the team the next 2 years or so while JJ & Tex hold their spots?

If they see him as a Mid or Defender perhaps in the future then I thought they would want to keep continuing to get games into him for the rest of the season in those positions.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

They still think they can play finals so won't be gifting games in order to develop.

yep they dont see him as a FWD in the future i dont think. He has missed alot of footy last year. He is heavy through the trunk (arent we all haha) so will need a preseason trimming some of that.

Yeah that's what I thought so realistically my point is the Crows wouldn't be expecting a huge amount from him over next couple seasons then as I can't see him getting into the mids next year & unless he slims up will still make the fwd line top heavy.

Think were seeing why he slid from a top 5 pick down into the 6-15 range.

The Crows had to pay slight overs for Sloane. There is absolutely no way on planet earth they could just have let him walk to another club. History had forced there hand slightly in this one and no way anyone can aim criticism at them for giving him a five year deal...even me.

Apparently is 4million over 5 years. Thats $800K a year which is rumoured to be what he was already on.

Really?
Fogarty below the waist is massive compared to Oliver.
I reckon he's a taller version of Wines?
I don't think he moves well enough for a midfielder.

That makes the deal even more logical then.

I love a good Crows bashing but this was deal the Crows just had to get done and they did.
