David Brent wrote:Where to for the Fog now? He's been cut & you can see why with the FWD line looking very top heavy. With McGoveran in the wings still, realistically is there going to be room for the Fog in the team the next 2 years or so while JJ & Tex hold their spots?

If they see him as a Mid or Defender perhaps in the future then I thought they would want to keep continuing to get games into him for the rest of the season in those positions.

He’s a forward. Need to remember he is 18 and where Walker and Jenkins will be in 4 years time. By the time Fog is 21-22 and that’s when good, tall forwards tend to take hold then it’s him and McGovern that will be in their prime. It’s not a short sighted project.

Much improved effort and probably the first time this season we have put 4qtrs together.
Could nearly put the all played well flag up which was pleasing and while we got beaten at the clearance our ability to take the game on and attack was pleasing.

Few observations -

Milera continued to create 50/50 contests in defence, pealed of his man well and helped out numerous times. Used the ball and his pace well. Huge upside to this kid.

The Gooch and Murph combo. Showed what we have missed all year, FWD pressure and an ability to hit the scoreboard. Jordan in particular is improving week by week.

Tom Lynch after blowing out plenty of cobwebs last week, provided that link between the arcs we have missed.

Atkins with a much improved effort/output over the 4 qtrs. They put some work into seedsman and we needed him to take the run and carry load which he did well.

Laird, Sloane, Gibbs and Crouch – well don’t really need to say anything that hasn’t been said before, they always contribute.

MRP were never going to classify Tex's hit as intentional, despite what some on here thought. So one week it is. Intentional acts are reserved for Thomas Bugg style thuggery.

Spoke with a friend in Melbourne yesterday, who deals with the Sloane's at a business level .. She said they were all stunned Rory re-signed as Belinda had said several times, even fairly recently, that they were definitely coming back home. Pretty good get by the Crows and obviously a classy decision by RS which matches his profile.

As Duck said if he'd poleaxed a less hard unit it would've been 4 at least.

Well it either has to be the dollars or the length of the contract. Otherwise why take so long to sign?

From what I have been told, it was definitely the length. Belinda though, must be on decent money here as she was offered $2 million a year to go to Melbourne for work

What sort of job would she have had in Melbourne for $2mill per year. Head of BHP. Very hard to believe.
