Melbourne choked.
Cats reverted back to a more aggressive brand of footy...

The sad thing is, I am not even surprised by this result.

More crowd brawling in the AFL, between crowd fighting and player diving the AFL is very quickly catching up to ‘sokkah’

Saw one Selwood (think it was him, was watching in my phone) one last right near the end which was an absolute joke. Thankfully the ump didn’t fall for it

When he and the Melbourne captain ran into each other?
It was a head collision and he went down with the impact, Jones went down after he saw Selwood go down.
Definately not a dive by Selwood but yeah possibly one by Nathan Jones but probably just a delayed reaction as it was a hard collision.

Gawn earlier in the game on the other hand......
Goes down like he's been shot and as soon as hes awarded the free and kicks the goal smiles sheeplishly knowing hes conned the ump and is suddenly the fittest man in the ground.
Should have gone down harder when he got smacked by the karma bus at the end of the game just like round 1.

The brawl of mainly Melbourne supporters seemed to happen in the standing area, they should get rid of all standing areas AFL games.
I've stood there at KP for one game and its shocking conditions unless its changed. Security wouldn't/couldn't even venture to a lot of it as its secluded and you simply can't move.

Funny, for all the poorly behaved supporters I've seen over the years, easily the worst was a group of psycho Melbourne supporters at a Queens Birthday game about 15 years ago.

Initially I was surprised they weren't at Falls Creek, and then by how much of a bunch of nutters these blokes were.

Is Gold Coast beating Sydney really the upset of the season?

Yes
Had never beaten Sydney, lost 11 in a row, nothing to play for, Sydney everything to play for, 5 goals down at quarter time.
Were paying 150/1 at quarter time.
