What geniuses at AFL house thought it was a good idea to only play two games in Melbourne this weekend with Etihad and the MCG sitting empty on Sunday?

Yeh, you're right - what the National comp needs is more games in Melbourne.

Shouldn’t be playing games in Ballarat or Tasmania especially on the same weekend.

I think the good people of both Ballarat and Hobart may respectfully disagree with you.

Put a bid in for a team then.
Crowds in Tassie especially are poor and the people want and deserve their own side not some leeching clubs like North and Hawthorn that offer nothing to the state

Yet Tasmania is giving both of those clubs hundreds of thousands to play there

They are doing it in the hope that one day they get their own side.
Kick North and Hawthorn out and send the Suns down there. Problem solved

They need Gold Coast, GWS and three Melbourne sides out with one into Tasmaia. 14 teams, 26 rounds.

And Kenny had the nerve to whinge about the Giants players being too close to the mark which resulted in a point being scored

50/50 for me, he probably should've just let it roll over as his little shimmy inside the behind post would've swayed the umpire.

Crap rule full stop, justice prevailed.

Port blokes did well to back off as they knew he was going to rush it.

What I want to know is the rule on where the free is to be paid. Shaw rushed it through almost right next to the point post but when the umpire set the mark he set it about a meter in from the goal post. What's the actual rule any umpires out there able to clarify?

Good question as he was also 1-2 metres in from the boundary/goal line too. He should have gone further back and it wouldn't have been touched either.

Should learn to kick drop punts and back yourself to kick it straight, perfect spot for a left footer.

just watched this replay on AFL.com.au....Davis is actually parallel with the mark which is allowed. If Whingeguard went back further he would have been ok.

Westhoff should have been on the other side of Davis to block him from getting across.

We win and we are out of the eight. **** sake. That's what you get for losing to the Bulldogs and Essendon when they couldn't win a chook raffle.

Watching it live, I thought Davis walked straight through the mark to start with and we should have received the 50 then. Regardless, not good enough yesterday as it was, only have ourselves to blame
