The closest any team has come in this winning streak was 13 points by Hawthorn in round 3 this season

What will it take for any opposition to conquer the MCG speciallists ?
From observations you need an opposing team that can apply pressure , be highly skilled and very importantly be able to compete with Richmond in the second halfs , the only team capable of this standard , at present , is Norwood.

The best hope for someone else to win it this year is if Hawks finish 4th and somehow jag the win in the first final and it puts richmond on a course to a prelim in Perth. I dont think anyone else can beat them at the MCG. Of course this isnt going to happen because we are generally shit and will prove that today with a loss to Freo.
So yeah pretty much no chance at all that anyone else is winning it this year.

I think GWS are best equipped to give them a run on GF day

Think the best GF for build up and atmosphere would be Richmond and Collingwood.

Think the best GF for closeness of match would be Richmond and GWS.

If GWS are at full strength think they are the only team who could push the Tigers, but hard to see Richmond losing this year.

Richmond have been very lucky with injury to key players.
If that luck runs out prior or during the finals they'll be tested just like everyone else.
I still think collingwoods game can win finals.

Carlton have a better record than Richmond interstate in 2018.

Funny ole season, a few weeks ago Port had a dream run home and were certainties for a top 4 finish, now they appear to have a tough run, 3 season defining games and finish up with a clash with the "all over the shop" Bombers who have been playing well of late.

My recent attempt at a ladder predictor was a fair bit different, not that it would be anything to go by.

Still think we can go 3-1. I have this week as the loss. But can easily drop all 4 depending on how we play. Not even bothering to do the ladder predictor anymore, way too close!

I did initially, the Collingwood one is the test, we can't seem to knock off Eagles when they visit, hopefully Kennedy is still out when we meet them.

Would have thought the Carlton/Adelaide game was a monty to be on the Sunday. Both teams missing finals, so they are not needing the extra recovery time. I guess the pre final bye takes care of that now.... right??

Was Thursday night last year with the bye. 1v4 and 2v3 in prime time and the knock out games Saturday. Also lets everyone have a 6 day break.

The scheduling of the final round is pretty irrelevant given there’s a bye week before finals.
