****, they've gone up! Were half of that not long ago!

Getting 23-24 baht > $1 on the street.

Most places in Koh Samui 60 baht small, 120 baht large, few still doing 75-80 baht during happy hour on the large ones. 99 baht cocktails the best we've found.

Geezus, that's ordinary. The days of 33 baht > $1 were awesome, things were cheaper too even in baht in those days. Virtually paying double now to what it was 6 years ago!

In the last two weeks I've got a Sleepy Panda queen mattress and a 55" Smart TV for under $1,000 together.

Both of them got to me within two days and both are awesome.

Getting a text message today from the Hawthorn Footy Club to advise I have won a seat upgrade, a lap of the G on Saturday and a pre game “briefing” from GM of footy Graham Wright... cool!

I rate Katy Perry taking time out of her tour to go to the house of a sick young fan that couldn't make her concert. Apparently was great with the young girl and her siblings, and even brought a coupla band members and played 3 songs for her in their home.

Whether you're into her music or not, thats a seriously class act imho.

Went to a strange funeral yesterday, it truly was more of a celebration of a life rather than a mourning.

The deceased had pre-planned everything, even to the point that on Friday morning when she awoke she said to her daughter "Can you ring Ange and order the rainbow flowers, they're taking me away today" and sure enough she waited until 11:35pm then passed away.

She insisted that no one wore black at her funeral, she bought her husband, 2 sons and 4 grandsons matching tie-dye shirts to wear for the ceremony, allocated a certain person to deliver the eulogies who was quite surprised and had a message for everyone sealed in an envelope to be read last.

The song that played as we placed petals on the casket was "Happy" by Pharrell Williams.

It was a different day, but one that made you appreciate life in itself, they way that you are born and then one day you're not around anymore, what you do in between is totally up to you, how you can respect whatever you have or be upset at what you don't have.

I walked away with a real glow inside of me, a day of total respect for someone who didn't want the day to be about her at all, although it was.
