Jacks wrote:The umpiring is generally pretty bad but the performance of those 2 blokes at Eastern Pk was as bad as you'll ever see! A good 8-10 goals for EP came from dubious freekicks. Both were on first name basis with all the players & a EP player got sent off for striking but was given a yellow card. It was a blatant punch to the head & should've been a straight red! We all saw it including the umpire but he was too gutless to give them what they deserve. People keep saying they are a changed club which is a load of rubbish. Always have & always will be the same.

There are some very good people involved at ep. was an interesting decision to only show the yellow card though

Looking at the ladder it also appears that CLG are a chance of being relegated should they lose both remaining games and smosh win one of theirs.... Gonna be a very tight finish to the season for both ends of the ladder

EP would have to win there last 2 games, SMOSH 1 of there last 2 games & CLG to lose both games for that to happen. Possible but doubtful.

One of the B grade EP boys was telling me on saturday that they had heard from the league that they would have to have less "wins" than the bottom two to be relegated and that points wouldn't come into it. Any truth to this?

What an unfortunate turn in events to see a club go from Division 1 a number of years ago and fall into Division 5 if that is the case. I hope for their sake they are able to win the next two games to avoid relegation and rebuild from Division 4.

Can be a little tricky depending on the device you are searching from. You need to locate the Tribunal List sub-menu under the Tribunal and Investigations menu. It doesn't get updated until some time on a Thursday or maybe even Friday so SA Footy is usually the first place the outcome starts filtering through.

Found the outcomes. Are all the matters put before the tribunal included on that list? I could only find two matters that were dismissed and 1 withdrawn this year. Very high guilty percentage.

Looking forward to seeing The Big Shrek in the flesh this weekend

When calling for the ball does he yell out ‘Kick it to The Big Shrek’ as he always talks in third person?

Back to footy talk please FC.

Mercer got 5 for a “negligent strike with severe impact”. I’m a little bemused how you can judge that without clear video evidence. A negligent strike seems to be a difficult thing to achieve. Anyway probably helps the rest of div, he was hitting some form.

Makes up for a team mate getting away with a behind the play punch to the face that left that player missing a week with concussion. Ive seen a headbutt & 2 strikes to the head in the last month & they all got yellow cards. If the umpire saw what i did all 3 were straight reds! There was no in between for any of them. Either nothing cause he didnt see it or red cause he did! The standard of umpiring has been ordinary all year anyway.
