Mercer got 5 for a “negligent strike with severe impact”. I’m a little bemused how you can judge that without clear video evidence. A negligent strike seems to be a difficult thing to achieve. Anyway probably helps the rest of div, he was hitting some form.

Makes up for a team mate getting away with a behind the play punch to the face that left that player missing a week with concussion. Ive seen a headbutt & 2 strikes to the head in the last month & they all got yellow cards. If the umpire saw what i did all 3 were straight reds! There was no in between for any of them. Either nothing cause he didnt see it or red cause he did! The standard of umpiring has been ordinary all year anyway.

Weve had good ones, bad ones and sometimes both. I don’t mind ripping them at any time unfortunately they’re not afl umpires (and even they make big mistakes)
They’re amateurs, they try their best along with you when you miss the kick u should’ve hit, or the tackle you shouldve laid. Point being, I’ve played against Mercer, he isn’t the thug we need to rule out the game, generally we know the idiots that do thug acts and we accept it and to be honest I’ve been happy to play with these fellas but I reckon the hard line the league is taking is going to stamp out the shit hits that we aren’t happy with is a good thing .

There is an internal appeal and an SANFL appeal. I think they may have different rules.

I just want to give a shout out to CLG's B Grade team, and in particular their off-field help.

We had a chaotic start to the day, and just managed to scrape 18 blokes together.

Our trainer was running a little late, so we asked theirs if she could quickly strap a few of our blokes. We were expecting a negative response, but she was more than willing to help us out.

I approached the B Grade Team Manager, asking if he knew any folks around the place that could help us run the boundary and goal umpire, and he was only to happy to put the feelers out there. While we eventually did find help, his assistance was much appreciated.

Kudos to those folks; we'd have been rooted without them.

Smosh seem to be playing good footy, can they knock off mitcham and avoid relegation?

Eastern park should get the win over a depleted pooraka

I thought so too.

I had a chat with a few players and supporters, and they all seem like great folks.
