Currently in Penang for a wedding tomorrow. Tonight is the celebration for the Bride's family and will be a reasonably large affair.

My Penang Friday Forecast -

* There will be copious amounts of grog and food
* The love in the room will be immense
* I will at some point pull amazing Bollywood moves on the dance floor
* I will eat minimum 4 types of curry tonight
* Housekeeper may need breathing apparatus in the morning.

Nice, though the dance moves have me concerned.

Can we expect Friday holiday predictions for next week as well?

Had a ripping pad thai in Kata Beach, the next morning was immense and I'd come out of the bog just as housekeeping arrived.

"I hope you have your affairs in order" as she went in.

All grog is imported and is heavily taxed by the local government

Very little by way of export from Singapore so they need to tax everything heavily.

Yeah Singapore has never appealed to me, prefer Kuala Lumpur.
Mind you I'm not a "city" sort of guy, also hated Hong Kong and Bangkok.

Singapore relies on the passenger traffic coming through Changi and hence why they spend massive amounts on the Airport to keep it as a main hub. I don’t actually know of too many people who just go to visit Singapore

In Karon now. Missus and daughter across the road getting their nails done, and I'm drinking very cold Chang off the tap. The fan above me is the second best thing to happen today.

The little market with the blue canvas awnings, the restaurant next to that did an excellent lunch.

As luck would have it, missus has a spa treatment booked after her nails are done. Me and Junior Pirate will be hitting the resort pool. The waterslide exit is close to the swim up bar so win/win.

Nice. The Irish pub still on the corner by the entrance?

Then there is Kenny’s Aussie Bar on the main drag!

Made it to Angus O'Tool's for the footy which they have on a projector screen with volume up. Missus asked if I was taking Junior Pirate with me.... I would've beaten Usain Bolt out the front door.

I’m guessing from your room to the Irish pub is a 3 minute walk tops!
