What’s the opposite of a destination club?

Carlton??

I would have had 35k as a pass mark, Eagles fans will be saving their money for two home finals tickets and perhaps a trip to the MCG so I wasn't surprised by a smaller than normal Eagles contingent there.

I know a few of the blokes tied up in the ammo's on here dislike the twilight time slot and given half of the clubs finished their season last Saturday it's not surprising some of them would have stayed away.

I love the twilight time slot, couple at the pub before the game, get on the train into the village, still home by 8 if you've got something on. Like drinking heavily to numb the pain of the previous 3 hours, or anything else you may want to do.

C’mon Booney, it was a shite crowd and you know it.
Given the importance of the game any less than 40k is crap.

You can’t rely on the opposition teams supporters to fill the empty seats each week.

Crowd numbers this year have to be a concern for the club surely?

Your interested is noted.

I said 35k as a pass, that means 32k was not a pass.

What’s the break even crowd at AO for profits?
Isn’t it closer to 38k for Port?

Bit hard keeping players that want out though.
Eddie is the only player we have lost that has really hurt.
Jacobs was young and no one knew he’d turn out this good.
Gibbs, well he gave us good service but we good compensation for him.
Waite, he was a bit of loss initially but was injury prone.
Henderson and Touhy would be average players still if they stayed at Carlton.

Unfortunately players don’t develop at Carlton.
That’s our biggest problem.

Not exactly what the wording of the story says, in fact no mention of Joe Atley wanting out, it's a story about North potentially wanting to get him if he is available.

Love the way you twist Port stories. :D

At least you got the best out of Judd in his last few years instead of all of Kennedy's career, that was a great swap.

If you couldn't work out how good he was going to be then, then you are right you have some serious issues.

Eddie found a new lease of life at Adelaide, he was on the slide for the last couple of years at Carlton, I thought it was a strange get initially, I was wrong.

Most players improve when they leave Carlton.
Carlton are good are not getting the best out of their players.

I was happy with that at the time and still am.
Kennedy would have struggled as would any key forward playing at Carlton.

It was a win/win for all.

Should Polec go, we will get a first rounder for him. Still being told about a 3 way trade involving the Saints where we end up with their first rounder

I guess the question about Atley is, why hasn't he been signed by Port for 2019? His decision or have Port not put a contract in front of him?

No, but it's reflective of how highly you rate him therefore it gives Port Adelaide an indication of what we should be asking for.

For mine, 1st rounder or 2nd rounder+player. North's position is interesting, currently (ladder position) you have 9, 27, 40, 53, 63.

9 would be too high and you wouldn't give it up, 27 might be about right if you throw in a tall or maybe 27 would get it done?

We would have been waiting on Wines' signature, if Wines had left then Atley would have been a must keep. Given Wines has signed on and Atley could have some currency he's potentially a nice carrot to dangle on the end of a trade or to get an upgrade for Port in a deal.

Wines, SPP, Ebert, Rockliff all in the AFL side with Drew and Snelling as back ups he might be one that could be moved on as part of a deal.
