Jared Waite, how often does his body and brain let his team mates down?

Interested to hear North supporters thoughts on Luke McDonalds progression.

Has he come on as much as you guys would have hoped for? His stats are slightly down on last year but this due to playing more of a lock down defending role? IMO he seems to have stagnated a little
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

No questioning his endeavour & courage. His decision making & disposal by foot is what lets him down at times. Kicking long to the forward line - fine, however your heart’s in your mouth if he’s trying to pin point a pass.

What's happening with Ahern ATM? Does he need a rest do you think? Seems to have all the ability but has gone a bit quiet over the past couple of weeks.

We were trying hard but legs were pretty cooked in the 2nd half yesterday,a trip to tassie and then Brisbane in the heat showed IMO.

Hope we can give Crows a run but looks like a season which we will just fall short, but bloody proud of the base we have set ourselves for 2019.

With Daw looking more at home in defence might be time to let Thompson go and keep Tarrant for another year?

Surely Waite is done?

Id say Thompson is pretty much done, Tarrant has got plenty of footy still left in him, Ive got a feeling Waite will get another year.

Thompson may very well go around one more year, his form certainly warrants it. We’ve shown that Daw, Tarrant & Thompson can all play in the one side. Yesterday was the first time that Waite looked to be showing his age at times, however he did take 12 marks & have 20 disposals kicking 2.2 - should’ve been 4 straight.
We miss Jacobs a hell of a lot. He plays yesterday & Bontempelli doesn’t have near as much influence and we probably win.

When fit he was near impossible to match up on. One of the best lead up forwards of his era. It was a great pick up by the club & cost us nothing. The knowledge & advice he’s passed on to Brown, Wood, Daw will be there to see in coming years.
Plus, if we’re getting Lynch...

Waite announced his retirement apparently

Very good player. Even on Sunday he was marking everything that came near him. Just didn’t get the best service from further up the ground
