Buddy out this week, lucky, we dont have any defenders with Frawley doubtful and you dont have any forwards.

I doubt Ronke will have 7 touches this time let alone 7 goals

Careful Days - we were awful against the Saints last week. We are due for a loss.

Norwood boys been good to you this millenium Wubsy - Crouch, Fosdike (could nearly have won a Norm), Grundy all had reasonable careers with the Swannies.

Glad to see (hopefully) that Heath's on the mend and is back playing again.

Agreed, been very good and i too hope he's feeling better about himself..

Not a norwood lad but i was a massive Mattner fan too... All good for us... That tackle mattner did in the dying moments of the 2012 GF was just as important as Malceski's goal...

Their wasn't, it was an exhibition game, put on by one team, or as I like to call it, a clinic.

2014 was one of the best team performances i have ever seen... i stopped watching after Langford dribbled that goal from the boundary line...

Pretty happy with this...

Sydney Swans veteran Jarrad McVeigh is set to play a 17th AFL season after signing a one-year contract extension with the Club.

Sydney’s sole current 300-game player will remain a Swan until at least the end of the 2019 season.

Originally from the Central Coast in New South Wales, McVeigh was recruited by the Swans at the 2002 National Draft and made his debut in Round 1, 2004.

The 33-year-old has carved out an impressive 318-match career so far, winning the 2012 Premiership, collecting All-Australian honours (2013) and claiming two Bob Skilton Medals (2008 and 2013), among other achievements.

The former co-captain has again played a crucial role in 2018, averaging 21 possessions a game to help Sydney lock in a ninth-straight finals campaign.

Sydney Swans Head of Football Tom Harley says it’s great to have McVeigh commit for another season.

“Jarrad has clearly been a highly valued member of our team for a long time now and it’s great to have him sign on for another season,” Harley said.

“Jarrad’s been exceptional for us again this year, he’s an outstanding leader and for him to continue for another season is a great result for all.

“We look forward to seeing Jarrad continue to do what he does best during our upcoming finals campaign and for the 2019 season.”

McVeigh joins a host of Swans to re-sign this year, including Sam Naismith, Aliir Aliir, Will Hayward, Ben Ronke, Ryley Stoddart, Joel Amartey and Matt Ling.
