I was wondering the same thing, is no game for 3 weeks a good thing? I think not, unless there's a strong breeze I doubt whether they'll be leading at quarter time of the 2nd semi.

You were right about that. 6 goals to 1 down at Quarter time. 11 goals to 4 after that. Down half way through the last too. Great finals game.

See you boys at Kenilworth in 2 weeks time is my bet. Be good to see the great man and Kenilworth premiership wingman Freddy “Fernando” Taylor on his favorite ground in the magoos - That bloke could and no doubt still can seriously play.

Freddy and I remarked that it will be nice playing on St Mary's on the same side this time. Last time I played there Kenilworth thrashed us and he had about 48 touches from half back.

Quiet game for Freddy then.

Remember that day well. Reckon we won by 35 goals and saw one of the funniest things I’ve seen in footy. The Houghton coach at quarter time was going off his tree and said to the playing group “Be honest who rocked up here today and didn’t even want to get out the car to play”? - Some bloke put his hand up!

Next weeks brought forward D6 GF is showing as Adelaide Oval. Maybe the former Premier has pulled some strings!!! Either some wrong buttons have been pushed or the system just does some random selections until human intervention steps in.

Geez it was funny. We had a bloody good team that year in both A and B grade, was great fun to be a part of.

Don’t reckon Houghton have ever won at St Marys even with 1-2 finals games going back 12-15 years ago. Definitely haven’t beaten us there. We played a cracker at Houghton in 2010 with Shamus Osborn kicking 7 in the last and won the game of his own boot- He did that a lot in those days!
