After breaking the record for the largest attendance in a season with 7 games to go this weekend the AFL will be creaming themselves that Melbourne are playing Geelong, Richmond are playing Hawthorn, Sydney are playing GWS and West Coast are saying Collingwood.
An awesome result for the AFL.

Thanks Eddie for letting Bucks take over a side that had been in back to back GF’s and send them backwards every year since then until this year ;)

Lol, you think a senile Mick Malthouse was going to do any better - look what he has done to Carlton!

Mick was entrenched at Collingwood and had the players on his side. I have no doubt they would have had another GF appearance under him. He was always going to fail at Carlton they were never the right fit for each other

He botched the second GF, I wouldn't be so sure he had it in him

Not so sure he botched that GF. Geelong really hit their straps in the finals and would have beaten anyone by that margin on the day.
I thought Mick still had a year or two left in him at Collingwood. He definitely left Buckley with a good enough squad to stay around the mark though

I guess what we know now is that Buckley wanted to coach like Buckley, not Malthouse, and that it's taken time to build the right game plan with the right squad

like Fraudmantle did in making Parfitt look good, im sure the Sun will shine on those average players.

Don't rate Parfitt? He hasn't been as good as he was before his injury but he goes ok I reckon.
