Are sign on fees counted in the cap?

Sorry about ranting. Although there was justification to my points (as it has been confirmed Josh was receiving much more than just base match payments) I realise I am giving the club a bad name in doing this and will refrain from adding more comment.

Where was this confirmed?

Keep going mate, it’s a footy forum, we’re all gonna take cracks at other clubs and defend our own.

Northerner, from that sense you might be right, the $ don’t bother me though, we’ve spent more on recruits in the last 10 years (Lee, Doyle, Eagleton, McInnes etc) that also didn’t work out for varying different reasons. Josh might still lineup for us somewhere down the track, just have to see how it pans out.

Enjoy the gardening, I think your club will be busy on the trade front and determined to get themselves back on track in 2019. Us, well we obviously have a decent shot at it, but I still think Sturt are the team to beat.

Hard for us to be busy on the trade front; sadly we don't have the cash resources that some other clubs have.
Cheers

I think we may be in a better position than previously in this regard. A few monetary gains including a tidy sum from Norwood for two lads that we wouldn't have got if they had headed to country leagues :)
I have also heard Troy M is a very likely.... not sure about Peter Krieg though!

We need to be in a better position otherwise next season could be worse.
Definitely need some quality recruits as I reckon a few senior players and rookies might be playing their last game tomorrow.

Very sorry to see. As stated by others, Josh has great potential as a footballer. Hoping he can indeed turn his life around, and this can be the starting point of this.
I know I promised not to, but, sorry ..... unfortunately this shows where the $3 000 a week Josh had been receiving from a Norwood sponsor had been being spent.

Cheers

Surprised he wasn't made a joint strength and conditioning coach with Matt Panos.

Not saying he doesn't need help but lets not make him out to being a 'Coke' addict. More a weekend recreational user.

Also keep in mind he is absolutely no lone ranger, his just the one been caught. Geez WADA would have had a field day with SANFL players in the early 2000's at the old Rise Nightclub at 4,5,6am in the morning. That was a look a movie seen out of Blow.

There will be a few SANFL players panicking at the moment hoping Josh doesn't chuck others under the bus AGAIN.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't steroids. That is coming from hearing a conversation between someone at work and James Fantasia. It was an illicit substance but it was a game day test, therefore it's regarded as performance enhancing. Unless Norwood are lying.

I have to admit I would be slightly surprised if he was on the roids.

Yes his solid, and has a low body fat percentage but his not a monster considering he would have been involved in a variety of weight programs for close to 10 years now whether that be at SANFL or AFL level and just his own personal training.

If he is I believe he would be on a much more specific and educated course than your average roid head.
